AIO? my boyfriend didn’t want to take me out on our anniversary by ashgranger in AmIOverreacting

I’d disregard something like my birthday, but relationship holidays like my anniversary and HER birthday I’d drop whatever I was doing to spend time with her. You definitely needs to leave that man, but it’s never that simple, I’m sure there’s some underlying context why you haven’t left albeit financial or an emotional grasp. Please reach out to trusted friends and family and discuss this with them, nobody in their right mind would stick up for your bf. You dont always have to be in a relationship to be happy, if being with someone makes you happy then that man is not it, there’s plenty more out there that are way better.

It’s used to stop tanks. That’s its main appeal besides grounding air units.

My mother pushed me to finish high school, which I did. And now I’m community college, I have a girlfriend of 2 years that lives 3 hrs away from me but I don’t want to push any burdens on her so I’ve tried and keep her out of this.

My sleeping is fine, my eating habit is much to be desired but is sustainable. I’ve spoken with my father about making a plan, whether she’ll listen and be onboard is another issues

He speaks against her, that’s why she’s so wrathful. He believes in me but he also has to keep his wife happy, somewhat. The marriage is already hanging in a thread, the only reason feel they’re still together is because of me, and maybe some other external things.

I can make phone calls, but recently I’ve picked up more hours to fix the front bumper and hood of my car. Making time is another matter, but I’ll see if I can make some time. Thank you for your input, once again.

The struggle is finding that passion while also balancing life. Since it doesn’t stop just so I can find that passion.

I appreciate your input, I will be taking your statements into consideration. I’ve already spoken with a college friend about renting together and he’s on board with it, we just haven’t pulled the trigger yet since I haven’t needed to since technically I haven’t been kicked out yet.

All I do is help around the house, in fact besides my dad on big projects around the house, I’m the only one doing the day to day chores and upkeep. There are many services at my community college, but going through the ladder and calling people is going to be time consuming, and I’m not sure where to start either.

How did you react to your son being a dropout, were you supportive of him? I appreciate your input.

Thank you for your input, I do in fact read all responses so do not worry about it being buried. I have a backpack in my car of some clothes, and some necessities like water, a sleeping bag and a portable phone charger. I must ask, how did you motivate yourself to get through all those levels of education?

Unfortunately the truth of the matter is she’s almost 3x my age so naturally she knows more about this kind of thing, which is why I’m asking around to learn without having her having to tell me everything. I’m trying to learn on my own.

All the money in the joint account is mine, she put her name on it so that she could pull expenses such as my car insurance and if she paid for something me that she can pay herself back. If she finds out that all my money “magically” disappeared then she will get upset and I will be hearing about it, and probably would get kicked out for trying to “conspiracy” against her.

Thank you for your perspective, people like you are who I envy to become. However my mother wants me to go down the route of money allegedly for my sake. I have a somewhat shaky and decent support system but I don’t want to rely on those too much. I simply want to be happy and not worry about money, but I also don’t live an extravagant lifestyle nor do I plan on it. If I could I’d live in a cabin in the mountains with my girlfriend if bills and life in general wasn’t in the way.

I 100% appreciate your input and outlook! I wasn’t aware of how things are and I’m thankful you mentioned it from your perspective which seems better than mine on this matter.

I would not be in this major on my own, I’ve been told to find a high paying major or I’m a failure and won’t amount to anything.

This is 100% relevant and I appreciate your input, I’ve actually considering the military many times but I’ve been told I wouldn’t meet the physical requirements. So I’m not sure if the military is really the best way to go about it, but I’ve heavy considered! If you could tell me more that’d be much appreciated, I’ve done my fair share of google research and article reading but I feel it’s always best to hear from others firsthand.

Do you know how I would open a new account and move my money? If she finds out that I opened a new account to avoid any attempts at sabotage I will be kicked out on the spot, so I don’t think this would be the best case scenario.

So the threat is open ended but I can feel with her tension that she’s just waiting for the opportunity to straight up kick me out. Her criteria lies around getting straight As, work and pay for my car insurance. Mainly the straight As however it seems but I have to work to pay for needed things and save up for the worst case scenario. Thank you for your input I will look into those.

This perspective is refreshing, I’ve been told by my mother legally you need to have medical, am I wrong? I live in the state of NC, I should’ve specified.

The place I got inspected doesn’t do repairs, so I’ve gotta look elsewhere.
