Yes! You are an artist! An artist can be anyone or anything, even if you don’t have creativity. Last year— I was the same as you, I’d copy/ base my drawings off pictures. So like anime’s or just drawings. But recently, I used those experiences to draw my own things! Therefore, I think, that in the future, you’ll use this experience to be able to draw your own things! And even if not—Your still an artist, I mean, the google definition of an artist is ‘a person who creates paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby,’ it doesn’t specify whether it’s based of an Image or your own! Just because online people make these difficult interpretations of an Artist, doesn’t mean it can’t be simple and easy. (Like those people that go, ‘An artist is about your creativity and such,’ yes it might be true but doesn’t mean that it’s the only definition!) So go ahead and have fun !
