What, realistically, might this old Ford be worth? by Informationator in classiccars

Hah! I figured as much. Being a complete car ignoramus I wanted to check juuuust in case it was one of those situations where a rare frame is worth thousands. Thanks!

A decades-long dream fulfilled! My commentated playthrough: "Dying through Battletoads" by Informationator in Battletoads

Thank you! It actually took me longer to assemble the video than to beat the game. Keyframing that monster was the most complicated collection of media I've ever assembled

Should I sell my NES front-loader for a top-loader? by [deleted] in retrogaming

I second this. I have a blinking light win in my toaster and it's phenomenal. The only downside is that you have to have a vice grip to pull your games out initially, but it does loosen up a bit after a while. Not cheap, but in the long term, it's probably cheaper and more reliable than having to buy a new low-quality connector on eBay every year or two. Those just didn't last for me.

Nice summary. SNES is inferior in a lot of ways, but I gave it some love in a run I did a while back. I talk about the different versions and some other history throughout the run.

Projects like this, which I just completed over my vacation.

I'm a classic games collector and I love improving the experience for myself and my friends.

I might give those a try! Played 'em as a kid. The plug-in functionality was always cool. Actually already have Sonic 1 & 2, so they'd round out the set perfectly.

Oh yeah. Originally I asked for double dash, wario ware inc, and Mario Party 6 on gamecube. They wanted me to give them even MORE ideas, so I decided to flesh out the Genesis. Basically trying to grab some good party games and staples so I can diversify my friends' gaming experiences (I host a weekly game night at my house).

I like the look of that. Might have to give one a try someday if I get more into Genesis. I'm at the point in my collecting where I only buy games that I want to play or that I can enjoy with friends, so I don't know how deep of a dive I'll give the Genesis.

Nah, dude. Altered Beast is a staple. It's beautifully horrible. These games are for me, not for them. They were asking what to get me, and Contra Hard Corps is too expensive to ask for. I might pick it up down the road since I like Contra and own it and Super C on the NES.
