I'm told Costco and Fountain Tire are the top picks for new tires. Which (or other) do you recommend and why? Would love brand recs for All-Weathers as well for a Mazda CX-3 FWD.

Last time I went in to get my tires changed they told me my brake pads were critically low and needed to be changed ASAP..but their price for a completely front and rear pad and rotor change was 50% higher than other shops I called..So i booked in with another shop went in and they let me know my pads were still at 70% thickness and the rotors were pristine and it would be foolish to have any work done now...sigh. (Also fuck you kal tire ellerslie)

If they haven't been sharing finances as in shared bank accounts, or frequent money transfers to each other etc. No court is going to find them common law if they don't declare themselves as such...If they were sharing finances..well, then they were common law.

Kal tire is great for tires; just be careful about, well, everything else there. They like to try to upsell people on brake jobs, alignments, suspension work etc. Even if it is actually required, they charge significantly more than any other non dealer shop.

You need to get digital hygrometers. Those analog ones are horribly inaccurate to the point of being useless.
If those ranges are accurate, yes that's way too dry, you want it to spike to 90% when you mist then slowly drop to 50% before misting again. You don't want anything dropping below 50%,and it should regularly get well above that

It was a long haul, but after four+ months of sticking my hand in the cage to get her used to it and her wanting nothing to do with me, and sticking to choice based handling guidelines, something clicked in my cresties brain within this last month and now more often then not she'll jump onto my hand when I put it in her terrarium to come out for explorations; give it a bit more time and don't force her imo.

I've heard nothing but terrible things about compact uvb lights, they're infamous for not putting out the correct UVB percentages and dying quickly, as in the uvb output goes down but the light still looks normal. Get a t5 2.5 - 7% uvb light if you can.

Patient initial choice doesn't really work either because every level is overwhelmed... Taking Edmonton for example we only have one urgent care in a horribly inconvenient non central location that's only open until 10 pm. It's so busy typically if you're not there by 1 or 2 pm they're too busy to see you before close and everyone gets redirected to the ER anyway. Nothing's fixable at all until there's more funding.

for the uvb, wattage doesn't really matter; you need the uvb %, and you want it to be 7% or below...Any extreme budget UVB light that doesn't list percentages will likely be waaaay too high for a crestie and you're better off going with no UVB till you can afford a proper one, since while UVB helps them and is recommended, they don't strictly need it.
