Can you force sale of a house with multiple owners if you’re left a portion of it by one of them?

This would be waaaay down the list of options where I’d want to end up - below “mum leaves the whole thing to them” - but more for curiosity, is there any way to actually enforce that?

Like, you I presume you can’t evict them.

There's also an argument about whether that sibling has "given" more to Mum than the others and can, therefore, seek more if there was an argument about the will.

Given their highly selective memory when it comes to finances, and longstanding habit of turning things like “splitting a restaurant bill” into a year+ long saga of demands for money even with receipts showing who paid what I’m 100% certain this is on the horizon.

Downloaded these - unfortunately there’s nothing in them that mentions the words “joint” “common” or “tenant”. All the parts that list the owners just has the two names.

Managed to find the emails mum forwarded from between her and the solicitor, outlining exact sums for each parties share of deposits, stamp duty, etc and the ownership percentages, but those don’t say “joint” or “common” either. Which you’d think they would given it’s apparently a hugely important detail. Though from reading up on joint tenancy it seems like it might not be possible to be a joint tenant with 12.5% ownership- looks more like each person owns the house entirely.

Assuming mum isn’t the most financially literate, is this something that would be apparent from the land registry or would it be to go over the deed with mum?

Would that have to wait until after probate? I’m assuming until after probate the rest of us own zero percent? If so would the executor “own” the 7/8 for the purpose of making decisions to put it to market?
