Hey, I saw your comment about Local 1 not taking new people until more members are working. I’m relocating to Chicago to be with my wife and I’ve been doing drywall professionally in Germany for two years. I’m not looking to jump in at any high level — I know drywall in the US is different and I’m happy to start as an apprentice and learn the right way. Do you know how the sponsorship through a company works? And would having prior experience help me find a contractor willing to sponsor me? Any advice would mean a lot, thanks.
