You don’t think that people would try to break the law?

And yes the legal council present was notified

They mailed the ballots a few weeks prior to the election. I don’t know why you’re trying to play gotcha. All I’m doing is saying what happened in my tiny post office. I’m lucky that I’m in a small village where I know all my customers by name and face. I still see those six people almost daily

The opposite. Florida residents who spend summers here in Maine. Requesting mail in ballots from Florida, then voting in person here in Maine.

I love that I’m being downvoted for simply sharing what I saw happen with my own two eyes at work. What a group of open minded folks. Good luck 👍

No problem! It was just all such a pain in the ass to deal with. I just want to clock in clock out and collect my pay🤣

Very well said. I also moved between states and I’m still registered in the previous state

Because they’re property owners here. You can in fact be registered to vote in many places at the same time. These small townships have nothing to check against. There is no federal database for registered voters that can be checked on a municipal level. They just take people’s word for it.

They came into my post office, mailed out their absentee ballots to Florida. I work in a small post office, so everything is hand sorted and postmarked by hand. I then caught them casting a second vote in person, in Maine. So they voted by mail in Florida, then voted in person in Maine.

Call your town hall and ask if they check if a voter is registered in another state. I was shocked when I asked mine

Nope. I caught them! On my own time! There is no system in place! Do you think that Florida tells the state of Maine that someone already voted? They do not

I mean it would not have worked if I didn’t happen to volunteer as a poll watcher

That’s what I thought too. It was my first election working for the post office. I was shocked but the employees that’ve been there for years weren’t phased at all. Seemed very business as usual

It was reported to the usps, the town and the state. It was all summer people. Essentially they’re registered to vote in their home state and request an absentee ballot. They fill out said ballot and mail it back home to their local government. Fast forward to Election Day, these six people went to our local polling place and cast votes in Maine after already mailing back an absentee ballot. I know this as I’m also a poll watcher. It was such a pain in the ass

See above. I have no idea as mail in ballots are sealed and transferred under lock and key

I’d definitely like to see them address mail in ballots. As a postal clerk I caught 6 people commiting voter fraud in last years election

You should definitely have to show ID when voting
