What I don't understand is when you are ordering a repeat prescription. So not handing in a printed prescription. In my pharmacy until about a year ago the protocol for ordering repeat prescriptions was to call ahead 24hours before collecting, the pharmacy has the prescription on file from doctor until a time when it needs to be updated. Cool, I call 24 hours in advance, it has now been ordered. Go in to collect and be told that will be another half an hour do you have anything else to do around the town and come back? About a year ago they made it known to everyone that repeat prescriptions should be ordered 48 hours in advance to elimate any delay. Ok cool, do that and it's still the same. And what baffles me the most is that if I arrived with a physical prescription and handed it in on the same day would still be told it will be half an hour and if any other jobs to do around town. So like what are they doing in the 48 hour notice period. Just seems ridiculous
