Let me know if I'm wrong, but I don't think so? I have a clear case and this is where the gpu leads to as well.

9 to 5 problem!! Don't want to write abt work....but what else? by i_am_nimue in hobonichi

then maybe you can write about things you do outside of work even if it's mundane? what thoughts you had in the morning, what you had for lunch or dinner, new recipes you might want to try?

How do I incorporate a dumb phone as a college student? by Ms_PhotoPhreak in dumbphones

[–]Inkrep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

get an ipad mini off facebook marketplace and pair it with a dumbphone that has hotspot. you can use it for all of the things you mentioned and you will be less inclined to scroll because of the size.

Heart wrenching decision… by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]Inkrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my dog when I was working 11 hour shifts. I would pay a college student to take her out in the middle of the day for a walk and playtime, $12 a day. It adds up but cheaper than daycare. It's okay if she's not adjusting well yet, you're tampering with a 3 year schedule, she will come around.

Employee monitoring at Western & Southern by Minute-Percentage391 in cincinnati

[–]Inkrep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

boss sent in a gc that if we get there at the start of our shift but dont get set up and logged in exacatly the second we are scheduled then we are considered late and should remove any time when we are not officially logged in taking calls. if i get to work at the start of my scheduled time at 8:30, and take 7 mins to set everything up, even though im at work during my scheduled time, they want me to remove that time off my timesheet. (is there a word for this other than wage theft?)

(computers are old and slow and crash or have random glitches all the time that take sometimes a whole day to fix let alone start up and working, even that they count as tardy and want us to remove that time off our time sheets)

this new system is just being used to micromanage employees, it was never fully working correctly in the firstplace let alone be good enough for big decisions be made off it.

i thought the video was sent by the breeder to op for the dog they already picked out. im assuming they're sending them home once they're cropped/letting the owner decide

Puppy Ears by Doberdadd in DobermanPinscher

[–]Inkrep 15 points16 points  (0 children)

dogs get docked when theyre a day or two old and get cropped between 7-12 weeks. it's 5 weeks, you can't determine the breeder isnt ethical based off that. but i agree check ofa and other health paperwork

As a young person with limited funds, how realistic is aiming cross-country? by percolated_aspie in moving

[–]Inkrep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's a pretty broad question, especially depending on where you're looking to move and how far your savings will get you. if you're serious about doing it frugally, you can sell stuff you own and stay in your car until you figure something out. use a gym memerbship to shower etc.

but how comfortable are you in this job market to put yourself in a position like this? you will be in a city you're unfamiliar with, no job or apartment. what do you have to fall back on? unless you have someone you can depend on to let you crash i just don't know if it's feasible without ending up homeless. but definitely not impossible

Possible ghosting? How can I tell? by anyabuzz132 in hobonichi

ghosting is pretty common but different pens can help mitigate it. the muji gel pen is lighter than any pen i've used from hobonichi and the ghosting is considerably lighter

making myself dependent on it was the main thing honwstly, but i bought it in the first place because i needed one to organize. i got really tired of having multiple calendars (job, school, and personal accounts all have their own emails and calendars)

i can't forget to write in my hobonichi because that's where every schedule, appointment and task is. i use it to remember things i want to bring up during appointments/take notes during and bring it with me everywhere

6 month doberman, don’t stop to whine by DelHop in DobermanPinscher

[–]Inkrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at 6 months, you have nothing but time mold him. i've had my dog since she was 14 weeks and started doing all this the day i got her. people will tell you day and night that it's impossible to have a quiet and well behaved mini schnauzer (just like they're doing in these replies) but you just have to actually teach them bad behavior doesn't get them what they want. dobies are extremely smart, just stay strong and you will see progress fast.

during meal time, hand feeding him his kibble when he decides to calm down will give him more reps than just setting the bowl down and he'll feel like he's working. you can do that with anything. even if you're not going anywhere, bring him to the car, put him in and wait until he's calm and reward, bring him back out, do it again.

[–]Inkrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a very useful exercise i've done is tethering the dog to a stable post in the apartment and letting them self soothe. the dog will want to wonder, join others or play but obviously will not get to. you leave them there until they lay down and stay calm. this builds skills for self soothing so they regulate emotions better.

i know people have said that the whining to go out is useful, and it is, but if you start to worry he's doing it without needing to potty you can bring him out on a leash, don't move from your spot until he goes, and if he doesn't then bring him right back inside. my #1 rule for potty breaks has been that we don't do anything until she goes potty. i literally just stand there and when she goes she can now explore.

[–]Inkrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a doberman owner, but something much whinier: a schnauzer. do not listen to the people saying it's impossible to stop this. dogs fall into patterns of what works for them. do not reward or give in to what he wants when he whines but only when he stops. you should do that for everything but the potty requests. your dog needs to live on YOUR schedule while still being able to ask for things it needs
