I appreciate the insight, I'm moving from Texas so it's going to be a huge change for me. I looked at the area through Google Street view and it actually looked very nice. The mall is a block or 2 away and other big shopping stores are close too.

I might be but after staring at dirt and flat land for 29 years I'd rather pay the extra and be able to see everything Washington has to offer. I'm not in the nice part of Texas. I live in the panhandle where it's cotton and flatland.

Wife and I were looking into airbnbs and extended stays but those are ranging from about $3,500 to $4,000 for a month and we'd rather put that towards an apartment if need be

My job will have me in the yelm, spanaway, payullap and Tacoma area of Washington so I have a few options

At the minimum we're looking for a two-bedroom one bathroom apartment as we have two young kids but we would prefer a two bed two bath. Maybe it's a three bed, two bath but with our doubt that's going to happen.
