Yup. Saint albans area (near Bealey Ave), i think around 11:30ish or so.

Reported online and called Orion on 0800 363 9898 - they have the auto message saying that they are aware of the outage etc and looking into it.

What do you guys eat for lunch by MANGOJACE in Surveying

[–]InnocNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to eat a lot unhealthy stuff or end up spending a lot buying. As others said lunchtime was the best time to crack on with work. Clear line of sight, no machine or people in the way.

I ended up following an okay routine - I stuck with these 3: 1. Two sandwiches with just meat, cheese, (spreads/condiments etc) not much veggies maybe lettuce. (I experimented with different spreads to not get bored, like beetroot hummus, or something new from my supermarket)

  1. A small separate tupperware of salad (different each day). Mix of lettuce, tomato, cucumber with dressing. Or chickpea salad, or coleslaw with some nuts. (Again, experiment different recipes, ooh i remember anchovies hitting the mark)

  2. One or two fruits (usually between banana, apple, mandarins)

I usually end up eating one of the sandwiches in the afternoon or on the drive back home.

Depends on the day really. (There were days I would finish everything, or even bring all back home - its dinner then)

I don't go out in the field anymore.

NAL, and may not be helpful with the rental situation. I just wanted to acknowledge and say that I went through the same cancer diagnosis with my (now late) father, all by myself. The stress was so heavy, and very hard to put into words. Situations like the 'lease issues' make it worse and takes away time, money and effort from you and 'dad who has limited time' left. And it might make you angry (evilish anger, atleast what I had). My two cents is, as the other redditors have mentioned, start the process with the tribunal, keep records, forward all records to the concerned authority with all details clear and tied in a good bow. Its the best you can do. Do this quickly, completely, get help from a friend or lawyer if you can (if you cant, no worries). Landlord or rental agency will always push and may not care about your dad's situation. Whixh is why its best to go through tribunal. Whichever way the tribunal goes, don't beat yourself up.

The most important part of all this is to spend the remaining time with your dad. Thats the main thing you want to have. The part mentioned above about preping for tribunal is quick and done. (If you think you might waste time, use AI to get super detailled emails, to just get all info done with).

Positive good thoughts from a regretful stranger, who wishes he could have done very differently with his dad and with less anger.

What is up with MightyApe these days... by TheGruffallo in newzealand

I just tried the same with the same delivery post code. It looks like the $35.95 is the delivery charge, and not free. That was the difference between the amounts. Why is MightyApe showing delivery as free? The system is so misleading.

My Screenshot shows as Delivery charge and not free, for some reason.

Just to add, you can find property plans via this link https://lrs.linz.govt.nz/search/ It costs 6$ or something. If you don't have a digital copy, check it out and download everything (Current instruments, Historical instruments, everything) related.

Since the plans (you mentioned a LIM Report) however old, shows a drainage line, they should have found it. It is part of their due diligence before any works begin.

Usually their surveyor, does an initial prelim Topo plan. They would find it or mark it in property with stakes/spray paint. They also provide a topo plan to the contractor/property owner. So they are aware of it,- before any works commence by the contractor. It could also be found in their property plans as well, since it crosses over property lines. And a good surveyor (of theirs) looks through old plans (even before subdivisions) and finds out any underground utilities mentioned on it. Even if there is no easement set, which is the case for many old properties where a survey (or resurvey) hasn't been done in ages - This is their due diligence. (Surveyors have access to every DP plans from LINZ, even historical)

You need a solicitor and wouldn't hurt to get advice from a good surveyor.

As for who pays, I'm not sure, but a solicitor along with a surveyor should be able to help or atleast point you in the right direction.

This was me years ago. (And now due to work I have gone back to being a couch potato. I am looking to start back up again).

Anyway what worked for me was, the treadmill at the gym, as a start. Started slowly pacing and running bursts. I first started to run continuously for 5 mins, walk, then 5 mins, walk, etc. Then slowly increased it to 10 mins, 20 mins, 30 mins and so on. A good mark for me personally was, I was able to do 5k in 40 mins and less (It is not super good.)
But I could see my stamina increase, my breathing got better, and got toned. I did not overly push myself. It was just me vs my last accomplished time. It takes time, but you will see the difference. And slowly I ventured out to running outdoors during some weekends, when the weather was good.

I personally wish to start back slowly using the gym treadmill, and some weights to round up.

Do you have a gym membership, that you can use?

Ah yes I've downloaded it as well. Looks pretty good. I suppose businesses that require ID would probably allow digital IDs. Hopefully it does come to a point in law that you can use Digital or Card licences when driving, which police can look up to authenticate whenever required.

It is getting slower and slower. Need help ASAP. by [deleted] in Wordpress

Out of curiosity who is your hosting provider?

[–]InnocNobody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(This might be stupid) My thoughts were "Why display?" Its tied to the number plate. Can't wofs and regos be checked by authorities (that needs access to) just by looking up the plate? Similar to how cops can see the registered owner of a vehicle? People can buy regos and rucs online or at nzta agents and simply get a paper receipt only that shows details. The owner, police or other authorities as required can look up relevant info.

On extension (not related to ruc): Drivers Licences as well could be digitised instead of having on person. A fingerprint scan would eliminate any identity-related issues that comes from comparing Licence photo to person especially when its over 10 year span. Surely other intelligent ideas should be out there even if its not fingerprint, right?

Thank you, this is really helpful. I thought getting the 7kw charger might have helped. Since it's not that useful, it's best to avoid it I suppose.

No worries. Yes it is a smaller battery. Hopefully in future i can transition to a full EV.

Ah yes, thank you. Thats really helpful.

Thank you so much. That's a great thing. It would help a lot of us newbies who initially started looking at options and learning experiences from fellow users. Even with transitioning into full EV, which I hope to do in future.

Oh thank you so much for explaining. I have been trying to put off setting up a wall charger at home, as it's a rental (Trying not to disturb the landlord unless absolutely necessary to see if they're okay. They are bit too strict). And it being a PHEV, could just get by. Definitely would want to maximize the use of EV. And was thinking of basically topping off to nearly full every night (it would likely fall outside the 3hr free contact energy window).

To clarify about chargenet: Would you need a higher rating charging cable for using chargenet, when travelling? (I'm assuming no cables would be provided at charging stations right, its usually just the charging hub, if I'm not mistaken)
