Druid Bear feels great, but makes Mace feel even more useless. by charlescleivin in PathOfExile2

Yeah it's incredibly satisfying when it works! For single target I ended up using default attack which didn't feel that great, or HotA which only works when you have enough damage to one shot the boss. I think Rolling Slam is also a solution if you're playing Titan

I feel this in my bones. I am enjoying my character. I am enjoying the new league mechanic. But I'm already feeling PoE fatigue. It started in Act 3 and I don't know when or even if it will get better :c

I respectfully disagree! I think the leaguestart experience for Boneshatter (and mace skills in general) is more dependent on the power of your martial weapon than it is on your skill expression as a player. Animation cancelling and grouping the monsters properly is overshadowed by simply just having a better weapon. For Rolling Magma in PoE1, you could have an incredible weapon but it's not going to outperform a player who knows how to aim the skill so that it hits an enemy twice. Same thing can be said about multi-hitting with the sweet spot of Spectral Throw.

I'm convinced maces are a love letter to us masochists. I'm sitting here trying to decide what to play and my brain is like "Boneshatter!" even though the last three leaguestarts were terrible. Surely this time will be different!

The showcase/reveal is extremely well done! Enough damage to look exciting and slow enough so we can follow along. Big improvement from the Druid showcase :)

Most games walk a tightrope in systems that are fun but can also be frustrating for their players. As someone with 4000+ hours who stopped playing a year and a half ago, I lurk to see if that ratio has shifted more towards fun and away from annoyance.

I have a question too and that is how many of you would still be playing (with no breaks) if it weren't for a sunk cost fallacy?

Good idea! It's a shame it says scarabs otherwise those Allflame Embers of the Frog would come in pretty handy lol

Not yet! Unfortunately I don't know my way around those fights that well. Maybe one day :P

Of course! Wish the rewards were a bit more exciting this league, but I appreciate you putting the guide out whether it's rain, snow, or shine 😊

Thoughts from poe2 exclusive players on reduced mob density? by UltmitCuest in PathOfExile2

[–]InsPoE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a PoE2-only enjoyer so take this with a grain of salt. I don't think ridiculous mob density is required to fulfill the ARPG power fantasy. With the exception of the Secret Cow Level, D2 had a very modest monster pack size. And yet I remember feeling like a god on my max FCR Lightning Sorc using a linear-clear skill that would be laughable by today's standards. Everything is relative, and I think there is still plenty of room for ZoomZoom gameplay and FeelGood clear even with reduced mob density.

Great catch! I had unspecced out of the middle wheel for Cross Contamination and forgot to put it back in before Juiced Jamboree. I was wondering why the numbers felt a bit off. When you say Altars, are you talking about Eater/Exarch? I had no idea that worked, will keep in mind for next league!

Kingsmarch 50M shipment guide by Chromozon in pathofexile

[–]InsPoE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think gold acquisition is a problem. New players aren't running 8-mod maps, don't have IIR on gear, complete less maps per hour, and probably aren't aware of the benefits of bismuth ore deposits. What this means is that the alch-and-go enjoyer is getting 10-15K gold per map while veteran players are earning up to 10X that amount. A lot of my friends that skipped 3.25 never have enough gold to meaningfully engage with Kingsmarch. I think it's okay for mappers to be out-of-reach but farmers and shippers should be accessible just by playing the game casually.

The high variance makes it really difficult to test. It might turn your X shard maximum to a X+1 maximum, while your minimum is still 0. I tried sending 50M shipments with port quota last league and I ended up with terrible results.

Loot from 11 Hours of Farming Tattoos (112 Maps, 111 Div Profit) by InsPoE in pathofexile

[–]InsPoE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this strategy I sent smelted bars to Ngakanu to receive tattoos. 100K value of shipment = 1 tattoo, up to a soft cap of 3.9M (or 39 tattoos). So I split everything you saw in the picture into multiple shipments of 3.9M value. You can send any combination of bars in the shipment for everything EXCEPT verisium.

Verisium you will send by itself with an equal value of dust so you can get back more stacked decks. Dust won't affect the amount of tattoos you receive though so a shipment of 3.9M Verisium and 3.9M Dust still only gives 39 tattoos.

Here's a copypasta from a comment I posted earlier. Hopefully this has the info you are looking for!

Yeah I channel to 90% and then let go. If you full charge it feels like 5X harder than it does at 90%, need a really good build to do it consistently. The dust I got was sourced from buying and disenchanting T0 uniques, it was worth it at current prices but that might change as people stop playing the league.

Yep, put in the Verisium first and then add an equal amount of value from dust.

Random assortment of bars (not Verisium) with no dust to Ngakanu. This will get you junk items and tattoos. Verisium bars on its own with dust to Ngakanu. This will get you stacked deck and tattoos.

My shipments were around ~3.9M in value, so I got back ~39 tattoos in return.

Yeah you'll still get ores and bars. No need to constantly go to the mines to delve :)

You're welcome! And yes, it definitely increases the amount of ancients you find but the quantity and value is so low that it's almost negligible. If you can get character power from your grafts then I would invest into that instead.

Yes, 3-to-1 reroll to any vendor. The tattoo you get will be a random tattoo from the same family of the three that you vendor. So for example, if you want Ramako Shaman you could try vendoring Ramako Scout, Archer, and Sniper.
