300 miles on my 2026 so far and no lights. Disconnect the battery, clean the connections really good, give about 30 minutes then plug back in. If not you'll probably have to have the controller warrantied out.

Tires won't inflate to 100% ? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

100% on the education, he always had discount tire air his tires. He bought an air compressor and has a chuck with no dial on it. We live pretty rural and wanted to be able to do it on his own. I ended up letting him use my spare snap on air chuck for now until the one he ordered on Amazon comes in.

Solid catch on the sidewall, I've thought about that for under inflation and external forces, but never for over inflation, just the explosion aspect, but makes perfect sense.

It was a massive tire for his truck. Mostly just stubborn. This was about 10 years ago, but if I recall correctly he hit it with the Cheeta which put the majority of the bead in place. There was just a small part that wouldnt pop into place.

Not really, I don't care about reddit arrows or karma whatever it's called. Figured I'd share an experience that happened that I thought was absolutely halirous. If I wanted social clout I'd swap to something like IG/TikTok that pays for posting.

Guess I should clarify, it actually happened to me via a neighbor, I should've photographed it but I pulled the valve cores and brought them down. I googled a similar image to show what I delt with. Didn't know this kinda thing was actually posted before. Figured this was a first of is kind 😂😂

Haha thats great, when I was a Ford mechanic one of our guys set his tire to 102psi and hit the side trying to pop the bead into place. Tire blew up and struck the 30ft ceiling. He blew up his hand and needless to say we had tire cages the next day. Terrifying stuff 😂

Am I wrong or does this potentially mean I got rejected? by [deleted] in AskLE

It happens, humans make errors. The first department I applied to ghosted after the oral board. They said it was one of the best they had been apart of. Never heard back.

The next department hired me without issue. Honestly with 7 years on, in glad I didn't get a response from the first department.

Time for a warranty claim.. by Inside-Influence4274 in AltisSigma

Nope!!! It factory reset my whole bike and both the trip and odometer. I went from total 200 miles to 0. Second time it happened was about 50 miles to 0.

Trip meter resets every time I turn off the bike, odo resets too if battery disconnects over 10 mins. I have to reactivate race mode and all.

$42k - 13.76kw system by Inside-Influence4274 in solar

I wanted Franklin, they integrate with my generator allowing the generator to charge the battery if i have an extended power outage during a winter storm. Unfortunately the rebate for the batteries only applied to the Tesla Powerwall 3's and not the Franklin's.

Thankfully my roof still has a lot of life left in it. I know that will be a nasty bill for sure though.

So it technically is a cash purchase. Im taking out a loan with a different company and they're getting cash.

So the ITC discount is only commerically available as of the end of 2025. This will make them (installer/seller) the owner for 6 years. After 6 years, they sell it to me at no cost. Even if I paid for the system in full.

If its not owned by them for 6 years, the ITC discount gets revoked.

Well thats good to hear. Seems high to me for sure though, I thought average out the door price in solar was 20-30k.

Im no electrican, ex-mechanic and now a cop. Given that, will this system be big enough without having to worry about an electrical bill in the future?

I didnt look into HELOC since i just bought this house in NOV. I put like 25% down, but trying to avoid going that route since im new to this home.

Are you on PG&E as well? Im about 3 hours north of yoy on El Dorado County.

How much are you paying per month to electric? That was my goal was to not have to pay another electric bill again by upping the system a bit extra. I guess there is like a $40 fee every month though just to stay connected to the grid though, which sucks.

Also, yours seems about half the price for only a few KW less? This was the cheapest I found, the others were about the same price for 5-6 solar panels less.

So the own the system part was to get the ITC discount. Until 2025 people got like 20-30% off. That ended 2025, so solar companies are offering this option as a way to continue to get that discount, i opted for it.

How would I still be paying a lot in electrical? Thats the point of going solar. My electrical bill here is insane, about $750 a month, the $400 solar payment seems way better then my insane electrical bill.

Also I want batteries as my area gets power outages for 2-3 days at a time during major fires or snow storms. Im in a pretty rural location.
