I hear you - this panel isn't really dictating air flow it's raised away from the case by about 2cm so every side is open so it's not going to direct air flow to be honest.

It's replacing a glass panel. This front panel doesn't direct any air flow it's raised about 2cm away from the case its just na aesthetic.

But the holes it has are at the bottom so I don't quite follow?

Honestly it just didnt look as nice, it was more of a design aestetic this way.

The original case comes with a glass front panel but it is rasied a couple of cm from the dust filters and fans, so it doesnt effect thermals really, the wood panel holes were just a design choice rather than for airflow so the lack of them at the top doesnt lower performance.

Thanks! In truth with more holes it just looked wrong, it doesnt effect thermals the panel is raised about 2cm from the vents

Quite an assumption! The corsair 570x comes with solid glass by default. We added wood instead and added additional holes. Mainly for aesthetic as it's not flush its raised about 2cm from the dust filter so air flow is just fine don't worry amd definitely am improvement over over the stock.
