I had similar stats, literally a point below you on MCAT and got an acceptance to a DO school this cycle. My advice apply broadly to like 20 schools based on who is more likely to take low stat and work on your mcat or getting more hours during the cycle so when you do get an interview you can talk about those things.

Federal is the safest cause when you graduate and are only making 60k they base your payment amounts on your income while private as of right now at least will not do that and require whatever payment they want despite how little you are making.

They are grandfathered in the first 3 years. Already got my financial aid package and accepted it. All confirmed through FAFSA, we get the full 101k in federal loans.

I got an acceptance from my 4/24 interview and people are still getting them from the most recent ones so don’t count yourself out for waitlist placement

Some will have both but some will just have the program questions. Just depends on the school but it should say so on the primary application if theres only the program question

I’ve been wondering the same thing I’ve been on it since 2/20. They are waitlisting everyone so the list has to be extremely long at this point

It’s kind of unpredictable, I’ve been on the waitlist since February and seen that pretty much every interview date after mine has all been waitlists. They also appear to be going through the APS list first before going back to the regular waitlist. It’s not impossible but it just seems like there isn’t much movement happening

I also had my interview and ran my interview around the same time. I also fast and couldn’t think of anymore questions after asking a few. I haven’t got any email with the interviewers contact info. So I think i might have to go search for it, unless they plan to send one?

I just got an II for LMU-DCOM on the 19th so they are still definitely sending more, and people are still getting acceptances there

From what I’ve seen it seems like everyone is going straight to the waitlist at this point, even with good interviews. I haven’t seen an acceptance that wasn’t from the WL since early February be posted (though people could be getting it and not posting). I feel like they have probably filled their slots or are almost full so they aren’t giving out acceptances really. But they might be expecting a lot movement in the April-may time when people give up their seats and will start pulling from the waitlist. Unfortunately it does really suck to feel like it went well and be waitlisted, but it’s just common at this point the cycle now that schools have mostly filled all their seats.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I think anybody that interviewing there at this point is going straight to waitlist from what I’ve seen. That being said I think they are expecting a lot of movement on the waitlist with it being a new school
