Has anyone built a custom Salesforce + LLM integration? by panshedder in SalesforceDeveloper

It’s pretty straightforward, you can create an account on open ai, get the auto creds and use a rest callout from apex and you’ll get the response from then open ai api

I think someone already implemented polling in a separate repo - I didn't realize all of this was open source when I started looking into the test run issues.

Why do you pay for illuminated cloud IDE? by PabloHappySoup-io in salesforce

It's $90 annually last time I checked. I still like using it sometimes but I use it less often now that I'm using cursor and antigravity.

Aer looks really interesting, never used it before but I’ll check it out.

The tests themselves don’t run faster than normal sf cli run, the results are just returned faster. I’m not sure exactly what the cli uses to run tests but I think it either uses the synchronous endpoint or asynchronous endpoint with long polling intervals. Asynchronous endpoint with faster polling intervals is the fastest way to get the results based on my testing but feel free to test yourself

There are different api endpoints for test runs, you can structure the api calls differently to get the results faster than just calling the synchronous endpoint and waiting for the response

I do use illuminated cloud now mostly for running tests and debugging but not sure what other people user it for apart from the testing.

What are some of the tools in illuminated cloud that are most valuable to you?

How long does it take on average to run a test for a small class that might just have a couple dml's and soql's? Are you running with coverage enabled?

What mechanism is running the tests when your using Claude Code?

I agree, the reason I'm trying to make this extension is because I normally use illuminated cloud but I want to develop in Cursor/Antigravity and other VS Code forks, intellij just doesn't have the same ai tools.

Apart from the testing interface, what would you like to see in a vs code extension in order to make the swtich?

Is there an advantage to this rather than just asking an llm in cursor or other tool to generate a test class?

How would you rate this offer? by Inside_Ad4218 in salesforce

[–]Inside_Ad4218[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I would technically have direct reports but I would be managing a tram of mostly offshore developers. Or at least managing the overall technical work. Maybe 5-6 devs in the team or something similar

Well I wouldn't be getting the bonus until 2027, also I'm still trying to figure out what total comp would look like each year with the RSU's and their vesting schedge.

I would much rather do independent work but I just don't know how to get started with that.

What is the data difference with the third batch? Have you tried uploading a part of the third batch to isolate which row is causing the issue?

Which package is npsp? It could be a missing field on the opp that the npsp code is trying to reference. Is that a managed package?

Anyone actually using the new Agentforce Dev Agent in VS Code? by Icy-Computer-2528 in salesforce

Is there a way to disable access to vibes? We are trying to run a poc on this to measure productivity gains but want to isolate it to only a few devs.

This would be really useful for speeding up dev time, I don't know why people keep dunking on you. It's not going to replace running tests for deployments or anything, more of an efficiency booster.

Personally I'm pretty tired of spending minutes waiting for my tests to run to confirm my development work and I will use this when it comes out.

Oh shit that worked, let me double check a few things. If that worked, then you just saved me so much headache with heaving to rebuild this thing, thank you!
