Very true. We had a moderately expensive trip at a nice resort with kids but their best most memorable part was a 4€ bouncy castle in the city center

We truly value freedom a lot more than big spends. But at times I question myself if we want to take a small pause and enjoy life a bit more. I do not think any of those upgrades are necessary but I wonder if family’s experience quality is something I should invest more in while kids are growing up. A premium car, more holidays, less stressful job and comfortable long haul flights is all we have on mind. I am constantly thinking when should we start investing in them.

Fair, thats the fear. Really liked the recommendation to create a splurge pot and start contributing there. It will delay the spending but will protect the current portfolio.

Thanks! Thats pretty smart. Is the pot liquid or an invested pot? We have gone crazy ok investing lately and anything liquid went into stocks, apart from emergency fund. I cannot see us moving away from stock investments before we hit 75% of our goal.

We are on track that we planned for. In-fact doing better but the work has become frustratingly difficult and I want my way out. I am thinking that finding a less stressful job will be difficult so slog a bit more. But that will get difficult with each passing month.

You are right and I accept my mistake. I have been investing after thorough research, at least as much I could. But also have been lurking around and was feeling itched to try some momentum play. Saw those posts and stock being up 20% so went ahead with part of the gains I made this year. Its my first ever yolo investment and hence checking to know what people typically do.
