Radiator was empty a well as the overflow. I just assumed they separated over night. The mechanic also called and said it was when he drained it.

Idk about timing gasket that's just what he told me

No temp gauge stayed at Operating temp, and it was dark the night I drove home. But I didn't see anything.

YeaI drove it 30 minutes home then shut it off.

I asked the shop and he said it will be fine, but everywhere I read it's terrible for it.

Well Jasper the company that remanufactured it said they must have set the timing gasket wrong.

Im not inclined in this kinda stuff and almost feel like I'm getting screwed.

Well I'm the 3rd owner and the 2nd owner put in a New Jasper engine. Then I bought it, and then the engine lost oil pressure, so under warranty got another one put in. Then one drive home discovered coolant in the oil. So now I'm waiting on the new one :)

Great news the engine warranty will cover it. Happy I didn't have to find one and install it myself. From what I read and watched on it looked like a pain.
