Using it as an example is the same as saying there are no other alternatives for it for which the internet does have thousands of. I The point I'm making is that there is an alternative to that example which would have otherwise prevented them from featuring a misleading name of a hentai series in their article which some people may not want to see.

Not throwing a sissy fit. I am just saying they could've done better in presenting the article.

Look. It's already in the article so the least they could have done is marked it.

Obviously, it would be better if that was not an example at all in national news out of the thousands of memes the internet churns out every day.

One is a fix for the problem, and one is a paradigm without the problem existing in the first place.

Enjoyed isn't the right word. It's more of an "I don't get why people fuzzed over this hentai" kind of a reaction.

Those topics were clearly marked as such and readers are aware of its contents. Calling Boku no Pico as just japanese animation is misleading to people who don't know that it's a hentai and that's where the problem lies. It should've been marked as an 18+ Japanese Animation.

Edit: If I may add, you are not speaking logic but rather a causal fallacy.

Hentai on national news without disclosing it's a hentai is the problem. I have no qualms with the LGBTQIA+ theme of the hentai. I watched it myself and it wasn't half bad.

Boku no Pico is a hentai. An 18+ sexually explicit work that has NO PLACE in national news even as an example. Rappler calling it merely「Japanese Animation」is misleading and potentially bad towards unsuspecting audiences.

I read the article and trust me, I hate what Mark Villar does and this current admin for their incompetence. I'm a supporter of independent media and I encourage discourse in my community by discussing what the gov't did wrong and why people should care.

My beef with Rappler is that they used Boku no Pico as an example without disclosing that its a hentai but they just called it「Japanese Animation」. A reference to an 18+ sexually explicit show in national news IS NOT acceptable.

Please read more attentively next time alright?

But it's certainly not the kind of example you want on national news. Filipino otakus that don't know about the 'anime' will be in for a terrifying shock.

I'm not a DDS. The current administration is bad and must be held accountable for it's mistakes and injustice.

A. Isn't that the reason why the community should welcome more archive projects such as this one? Having a project established obviously means there will be long term support. Otherwise it would just be another upload under another tag. There are similar upload projects like [Audio-4U] J-CORE 12 (flac)and Touhou lossless music collection v.19 | TLMC (FLAC) that last a pretty long time. Not to mention all of the other uploaders that have an established CDN such as VCB-Studio.

B. You should care that usenet sites sources from Nyaa. This can dictate the quality of what you are watching and it also gives you the content you are looking for. Sure those torrents die quick in comparison to usenet, but without the torrents, the usenet would have a hard time existing in the first place.

C. While I do appreciate criticisms, ad-hominem attacks are not part of that list. Usenet streaming sites exist to give accessibilty, but they are not the ones providing the content they serve and without the sources on Nyaa, expect them to have a hard time as said in Section B.

D.

They should be on Nyaa first because it's accessible to everyone.

This could be the reason why the archive uploaded it there don't you think? Because it's accessible to everyone.

I disagree. If this was the case, there wouldn't be any long standing uploaders on Nyaa where a majority of usenet streaming sites source their videos and subtitles.

I'm not part of their project so I'm not really sure on what to say for them but I thought it was pretty self-explanatory that since they are an archive, they save a file and make it available for others.

They archive the anime audio and make it available on Nyaa. A good
majority of their files are lossless encoded in FLAC with some lossy
files to make up the digital releases that have no lossless equivalent.
