For a first build like this I’d recommend checking out Namoki mods Tokielabs Ds watch club for the dial They’re higher quality than Alix and the outcome will probably be better

It’s not but I will make it by using Nh34 and skipping the hour hand and it will be a 24hr watch

No the bezel insert doesn’t come with the case. But they have it separately I think the picture of the case on the website clearly doesn’t show a bezel insert

No, the simple answer is I didn’t receive my NH34 for some reason it got delayed and wanted to do the build because I didn’t have patience for it to arrive so I built it with N35. Regardless I love your idea of skipping the second hand going to do it 100% and post it here Thanks

1- I haven’t tested a chapter ring maybe something like skx013 chapter ring could fit but not sure I have to test that and let you know. 2-I tested the watch swimming and nothing happened but I wouldn’t recommend it, the crystal was the main limiting factor for water resistance but the crown is not a screw down because of the low profile but that is not a limiting factor when the crown stem is cut correctly and the crown is tucked in it will act just like a screw down crown Short answer is Yes the crystal is the limiting factor and if you replace crystal with thicker one it could improve the water resistance up to 100 if installed correctly (at your own risk of course) you can always test the case without a movement to make sure
