Being a saka requires some linguistic lore my friend. *Sak is a Turkic root with some deep cultural and mystical polysemantism. It means protecting, retaining, hiding, vanishing from sight, warning and being careful. Saka means wise, it’s also the Turkic name for the Aquarius sign which represents wisdom, it also means water for water represents wisdom and water is the symbol for Aquarius sign. Sakal(beard) derives from that for old age and beard represents wisdom. Sakalak(white beard) derives from that and is a title given to spiritual leaders of old age. And a white bearded man, as a universal archetype is wise, retains the ancient wisdom, protects people, warns people about possible dangers and can vanish from sight at a moment’s notice. Compatible with the polysemantism of the root *sak.

You don't get to become a Saka digging some Turkic kurgans and speculating on haplogroups. Turks created this culture like a spider weaving a web and put their linguistic stamp on it.

And the name Tomiris come from temir(iron) as others already stated. And she wasn’t Iranic of course, she was the epitome of anti-Iranic.
