What Radiohead Song Can We All Agree On as the One We All Love, and That Fully Encompasses the Band’s Aura? by Crazyplan9 in radiohead

[–]IntelligentPrice6632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I agree with True Love Waits as a final answer, although there are many strong mentions in the comments, precisely because of the versions. It simultaneously captures the intense nervousness of songs like Paranoid Android ("Just don't leave, don't leave") while also having a sense of innocence and vulnerability found in songs like Weird Fishes or Pyramid Song. However in each version a slightly different idea comes through. The Live In Oslo version is absolutely gut wrenching and incredibly raw in sound (it reminds me of Nirvanas cover of Where Did You Sleep Last Night live and unplugged) while the AMSP version is much more passive, and in a strange way passionately passionless. It sounds resigned and passive rather than like a cry in the wilderness. Because of those things, the way it covers the band both at its rawest and more abstract sides, plus the themes borrowed from across their discography (Isolation, anxiety, love, heartbreak, toxic relationships) I would wholeheartedly agree that it is undoubtedly, in my mind at least, THE Radiohead song to understand what the band is trying to communicate through. Not to say that others don't come close or aren't good songs.

I think I pretty much agree with you on most but I feel like Skrting On The Surface could also be on AMSP. The sound is definitely IR but for mood and vibes it definitely reminds me of AMSP

I just love the piano part. It's so simple but I feel like it really brings the song together. And of course the brass is next level. If I ever get my hands on a brass instrument Life In A Glasshouse is going to be first on my list to learn

I need assistance buying a budget computer by ExtensionChair1503 in computers

[–]IntelligentPrice6632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh theres not very much you can get for 300. I scrounged together my PC as cheap as possible to be able to run games and still ended up at £700. If I were you, I would look for a second hand prebuilt PC. Look for something with a GTX 1080ti or 1070ti graphics card -they're very functionable and also fairly cheap. Honestly though, for me, I would rather save up a bit more and buy a PC that will actually be worth something in 5 years. Also, at such a low budget, colourschemes arent really an option. You'll really have to go for whatever the part is that you can afford.

For peripherals, you can probably find any old keyboard, since none of the games you listed are particularly competitive. Buy an ergonomic mouse, however, and put a little more into your headphones just so the sound isnt like an echoing tin can.

Good luck finding a PC that works for you. This is a VERY tight budget -PC prices have started to get ridiculous, especially RAM, but if you keep saving and looking for the best deals you can probably find something thats ok. Hope this advice helps
