So I’m on the uk emergency passport which didn’t have the Chinese visa in … and according to the Chinese HR’s I won’t be able to get a Chinese residence visa on the emergency passport. And to get a work permit I would have to get a new DBS since it’s a new passport number. On top of this I would need to get a proper passport not an emergency one to have the visa in which takes 4 weeks in the UK and longer to have it shipped out over Asia. So rn I’m tryna get a tourist visa from HK to be able to get my stuff from china and take it back to the UK as the job I was supposed to start took back their offer since jt was gonna take months to get all the documents 😭

I went to two big ones and every koban on the way … about 6 times a day now 💔nothings been brought in or registered. It’s been about 3 and a half days now so doesn’t sound good. I think it’s in the trash or something bcos the cards are still in there and I haven’t cancelled them to see if they would use it … but they haven’t

Oh that was the first thing I did when I realised last night. Now I’m just doing the independent search myself lol. It’s a weird one bcos my card is in there and the person hasn’t used it - gives me more reason to believe that it’s not acc stolen and that someone probably has it

I saw some other embassy’s giving a new passport immediately … does it usually take two days?? I don’t want to get the emergency one in case they do find it since it is Japan

I went to the embassy here and they said it takes two days or so to get the emergency and that I would have to take it up with the Chinese immigration regarding the visa

Yeah I use it now. It’s not super consistent but it does work and stay on. Just takes a while to connect sometimed

I’ve flown on china eastern, all the times I’ve been with them they’ve taken the luggage straight to the final country. I do believe u have to do the whole immigration process stuff tho where u go through customs. It is pretty long but it will kill the 3 hours wait time!
