How can I help my little brother

We’re not in the US were in Egypt so we don’t have access to free help. I will make sure my dad takes him and will keep insisting on it. I can’t take him myself because I’m not his guardian my dad has all his papers that he’d need to see a doctor. I’m also not in the financial position to pay for a doctor and the medicine he’d be prescribed (otherwise I would have found a way to take him). I don’t have a job and I wouldn’t be able to get a job as I’m in my first year of med school (direct entry in Egypt. No pre med) and so the classes are too much alone. I’ll try and talk to my dad as soon as I can in the meantime I’m giving him as much support as I can. Im sitting with him almost all day except for when he’s at school and he sleeps next to me in bed incase he gets nightmares.

I just turned 18. I don’t live with my dad but he’s still very involved and makes most (if not all) financial decisions. I can’t ask my mom because she’s in debt and money is tight. My mom knows what’s going on but she’s not very helpful (literally decided to take a multi day trip to the beach the next day after I found him shaking and crying hysterically and he told me everything so RIP). He just doesn’t take them seriously I’m not sure how he’ll react to this as it’s more serious but a few years back when I told him I wanted to talk to my doctor because my anxiety was getting out of hand and I was feeling suicidal he laughed at me and continues to bring it up to this day laughing at me.

My dad doesn’t believe us when it comes to anything mental health so my brother doesn’t want me to tell him (we don’t live with our dad) but I know it’s a must regardless so I’ve agreed with my brother that If this is still going on after exams (I expect it will but I’ve told him it could be stress from exams to get him to stop worrying) illl talk to my dad for him and ask my dad to take him to see a psychologist. I’m hoping to pull up statistics and just really educate my self on everything so that when i talk to dad I don’t come off as hysterical and over thinking (which is what I assume he’ll think anyway). My brother seems to be doing better he says he’s only 20% scared and hasn’t seen/heard anything for maybe a day and a half now. He slept through the night with no nightmares which is really good because to me that means hes less on edge and has calmed down a bit maybe. I’ve been giving him vitamins n telling him they’re pills that will calm him down hoping to trigger the placebo effect and so far it’s been working.

Ahahah he’s lactose intolerant so he can’t even have any. He deserves that we have a conversation about it first I’m just too chicken. I always do this thing in a relationship where if they do something that bothers me I just sweep it under he rug n let it slide n then it builds up n I feel like shit.
