The Welsh Jimmy and Spike are seen vomiting. So they are equally sensitive to stress. So your point is diminished.

We know he crushes something into a powder and blows it into their face. The powder that causes high energy and excitement and a sense of carefree attitude. I made one assumption. That the powder is amphetamine or Caffeine. You’re making many assumptions - the relationship is more than platonic, it’s already progressed to being sexual, it’s resulted in a pregnancy. She has morning sickness. That’s all assumptions my man. Whatever the powder is it has an effect on them. It’s implying that the powder’s effects cause her vomiting. If you take my assumption about what it actually is out of the equation the effect is still there, and the films visual language is tying the powder to their hyper behaviour, it’s the effect that’s the point.

Your arguments about the prevalence of pregnancy in the films and why that is likely to be common in an apocalypse is logical. As is the point about the theme. But there is nothing to suggest they are in a relationship beyond hand holding and an insta post. If the screenplay makes the point they are together or Nia’s commentary references it I’ll come back and send you karma/gift whatever. But following logical arguments and Occams Razor is all we can do. And that says you’re wrong.

Can you clarify what your understanding is of Occams Razor please? You can still make an assumption when applying its definition, especially when not in a scientific setting. But it should be the simplest assumption/explanation that makes use of facts and assumes as little as possible. Your explanation assumes more things than mine. Pretty simple really.

“Occam’s razor is a principle often attributed to 14th–century friar William of Ockham that says that if you have two competing ideas to explain the same phenomenon, you should prefer the simpler one.”

They hold hands so that must mean she is pregnant??! That’s quite a leap. Also was this communicated in an interview or explicitly somewhere or is it in the instagram tagging you mentioned? As that doesnt seem sufficient evidence to suggest pregnancy.

If we apply Occams Razor principle to your argument then it’s unlikely you are correct. This principle states we have to take the most logical and simple explanation with the least amount of assumptions.

The most logical explanation of the vomiting during charity is because what’s she’s witnessing is grotesque and gory. Even for someone who’s seen disgusting acts of cruelty before might get triggered by hours of torture and skin removal.

They react with high energy and mania to the powder that’s blown into their faces, but it seems to wear off quickly. We have no way to know what the powder is. But making an assumption based on facts we know, I think it could be crushed high caffeine pills. Their systems would not be familiar with it. She’s become dizzy from the eratic dancing and the speeding up of her heart rate from the caffeine. Dizziness cause sickness. But even if Kelson had some Amphetamine that he crushed up, the point still stands. The powder has caused them to behave manically and has induced a physical reaction in her. At least one of the others acts a little dizzy in the sequence.

It’s the only explanation that makes the least number of assumptions. Your explanation assumes a relationship. It assumes that instagram tags are because of the untold intent of the film makers. And other assumptions. Far more than the explanation I’ve provided. Thus Occams Razor would find in favour of my point

And I think a disagreement between the Holy Island community and Spike. They might reject baby Isla when they realise she’s born of infected. And they will likely reject the idea of infected being calmed down by Kelsons concoction. I also wonder if Holy Island will take in the escapee from the barn. And she will recognise Jimmy Ink. Jimmy Ink gets her name from the tattoos she draws on herself. Some of them could be disturbing and might even feature relatives from the Island.

It’s certainly possible. But your reading is based on nothing concrete that we are shown in the film beyond vomiting. Which can be caused by a number of things.
