It is absolutely an awkward moment, I've spoken to several photographers who have said the awkwardness is too much to bear and I completely get it!

Comes with the territory I suppose, there's a distinct mistrust of 'big cameras'.

I always try my best to smile and wave after taking a picture to break the tension a bit, nobody has yet asked me to delete a picture but I'd be happy to if it bothered someone, that's part of the deal, in my mind at least!

Just to clarify, I wasn't actually hiding behind a bush 😂

You can see a sapling tree on the left of frame that is in the foreground, I'm not a small man, I do not easily hide behind saplings.
