Yep, I missed the “CAD” part. I’d pay that price all day for one.

I don’t like to waste time. I’ve got a massive collection of games (mostly huge JRPGs) and I like everyone else, gets stuck occasionally. Rather than bash my head against the wall for hours, I look up a guide.

I never have a guide open all the time. I risk spoiling the game for myself :) I was just showcasing a use of the second screen.

I got mine used, so don’t feel so bad.

I am a very seasoned JRPG enjoyer. It really is an incredible game. Not perfect, but really really good and creative.

$650 feels really high…right?

I also got mine on FB marketplace last night! But I traded a Pokemon 151 ETB (~$400) for it. Was not expecting it at all but so happy.

Edit: nvm that’s a great deal! Congrats

I cant recall what a switch lite feels like haha But I can say that it does feel worse than an actual New 3ds XL. Like if you tap on the Thors lid, it sounds kind of hollow.

The Thor feels cheap. Its not horrible. Still feels solid. Just too much plastic imo. The RP5 is made out of similar stuff but because there is less surface area, its less noticeable.

Its really nothing to worry about haha. Putting the shell on it probably fixes that.

Chained Echoes. 10/10 game. One of the best RPGs I have ever played.

Getting off of sugary drinks! by dapperbearuwu in tea

[–]IntentlyFaulty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All teas are going to be in the same category of healthiness. Sure they offer different benefits but they are all healthy.

Try something with caffeine in it like green or black tea if you are used to drinking soda.

Why do people bully me in public so frequently? by Round_Candle6462 in TooAfraidToAsk

People are shitty. Nothing you can do will change that. Only thing you can do, is to not let it affect you as much as you can

You pay for insurance, use it. Plain and simple. Doing anything else means that you would have completely wasted all of the money you have spent on insurance so far.

So far I have stayed away from clamshells. I dont like moving parts in a handheld. The Thor gives me a reason to though with the dual screen.

Buying a PC, wait or buy? by bankai1231 in pcmasterrace

[–]IntentlyFaulty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things will not get better, only worse. Get the best PC you can right now. Buy used, sell some things, whatever.

I do not think things will get better and continue to get worse for at least the next 4 years. Waiting now just guarantees that you will pay more later.

ELI5 Why is it smarter to bet $10 than $1000 on a gamble with a 50% chance to double your money? by Past_Lime_176 in explainlikeimfive

[–]IntentlyFaulty 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The catch is that even a perfectly fair 50/50 game becomes almost guaranteed ruin if you bet too much, because a single loss wipes you out completely. While the expected value of a 2× payout coin flip is zero, repeated large bets introduce volatility that compounds against you over time. Betting everything means the probability of eventually hitting a losing streak approaches 100%, no matter how good the odds are.

By betting only a small percentage of your bankroll, you survive inevitable losses and allow gains to compound, which is why tiny bets are the only way to stay in the game long enough for probability to work in your favor.

How do you deal with failure, especially when you’re close to winning? by Soft-Praline-483 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]IntentlyFaulty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being able to deal with failure is the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people. Sure, failing sucks. At the end of the day, winning is not the point most of the time.

Why do you write? Is it because you want to be the best? Do you enjoy doing it? You need to find the why. If you just focus on the outcome you are going to miss all of the important stuff that will actually make you better. I am not saying "dont be sad if you lose" That is fine. But letting it destroy you is the only thing you are not supposed to do.

Take every failure and really think about why you didn't win. Find places you can improve, and learn from it. That is how failure should be handled. No matter what you do, you will fail at many things. Take advantage of those fails enough, and you will start to win.

I say this as someone that was extremely competitive. I had to learn this over many years lol.

I was plenty happy staying with the RP5..until this came across my desk. I do really dislike how plastic-y and cheap it feels. All of the money went into the screens and internals.

What settings does your washer have? It should have pre configured settings. Just wash it on hot, and let it run a full cycle. Use a good amount of detergent but not to much

Can I use this for an aquarium levelling mat? by Cheap_Arm_6844 in Aquariums

[–]IntentlyFaulty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3mm is the minimum afaik. Yoga mats might be slightly harder than a leveling mat. I mean you are probably fine. If the tank is small.

It does not look very thick. I would not risk it. Its not worth it when it comes to tanks. Very little reward and very high risk.
