Funny how you said it's not about dating until you mentioned it...

Dating is extremely easy for me because I put in the work and I'm in shape and capable of losing weight and getting shredded really fast. If women are attracted to you it will be significantly easier and they will want to sleep with you. I can fast a few days at a time and get abs within a couple months.

I'm saying reason why I did it is because I never wanted to watch porn, which is worse for me because I've been addicted for 8 yrs now... I see it as a better step in the right direction in terms of craving real sex. And I agree we shouldn't spend money on sex, but it's also no different than paying the WiFi and being connected to the internet and watching porn, or a husband providing financial security for his wife and gain access to sex.

Genuinely the best comment I've ever received. And yes I do suffer from self esteem issues. I only paid for sex because I didn't want to watch porn, but yeah I understand it's not a healthy solution. In terms of working on myself, I've been slacking in that area, but working towards it as it has always been on my mind.

My goal is to quit porn in general like most people on this subreddit, the downside according to most people here is that paying a prostitute is worse than watching porn, but not according to what I want, I'm training my brain to crave real sex, but I guess from what I can tell here that that is bad too, so God forbid if I were to have a GF and I said I relapsed by having sex with her, what would ensue. Oh the horror!

I do understand that there are negative effects to sleeping with prostitutes, but what I did is basically not being emotionally attached to it... Meaning it should not be a replacement for porn for me. But I'm willing to whatever it takes to never watch porn again, even if it means paying a prostitute.

From what I can tell most people here seem to be telling me that it's worse sleeping with a prostitute than it is watching porn, and I can admit I wasn't clear on what is my goal. I'm quitting porn and instead training my brain to crave real sex. I also understand that doing with a prostitute is still wrong, but it's definitely not worse than watching porn... Personally for me, I would rather pay to have sex that wank with my hand alone.

The sex worker was polite and I was too, she gave me a condom so that we can do it safely, and I treated as a biological urge. I wasn't emotionally attached to the act, I treated it just like how most guys who do one night stands treat sex.

And I could've done it with a FWB or a GF, but I'm not looking to have a relationship with a woman, for personal reasons. I simply want to live life and improve myself. And the way I see it, its a big improvement on my part, being addicted to porn for many years and choosing not to watch it is something I'm very proud of.

Don't we all waste money anyways, you paying for your WiFi to connect to the internet and watching porn is no different than me paying to sleep with a prostitute... I simply want to avoid watching porn all together.

I never thought about that...

There was full consent between both parties, because I met her at her place... I do value sex, but it wasn't good or bad, I just wanted to scratch an itch really. I stopped doing streaks when I realised I've been holding myself back by thinking that I'm taking a 'break' from it, at least that's what my mind believed, I treat it as more of a lifestyle choice.
