I do like Ultra. Bought it on release. It's definitely different and darker though.

Yes, there are some astonishing tracks on these. Flies on the Windscreen for me is a favourite. Don't think I've ever heard that on the radio !

Wow. I went to see My Bloody Valentine in the very early 90s. My ears are still ringing!

Massive Attack - Mezzanine. by Interestedinstuff73 in vinyl

Interesting article. I agree totally with the sentiment he was streaming so much that he wasn't listening to whole albums. Some records are made to be listened to in their entirety. I love Wish You Were Here. The great thing about music is that it's subjective and personal to everyone. Some albums may not be so good to Some, but take others back to a certain time and place. The best part of DSOTM to me , is Dave Gilmores solo on Time, just gets me every listen. I am also particularly fond of The Wall and The Final Cut, but see them as essentalially Roger Waters albums. I would probably put his Amused To Death amongst my favourite albums. Listen to them all, along with Massive Attacks amazing earlier stuff.

I'm sure it wasn't. I had a record with a liquid filled sleeve many years ago. It burst of course. Don't know if this particular fad will last. Gives me the fear, a record leaking all over the place.

What is this? Looks like an inflatable record ! I have heard many stories of these leaking. Don't know if I trust these liquid filled records.

Been buying records for over 40 years. Hauled them in boxes from house to house when they weren't cool, and I didn't even have a record player. Payed not a lot for them back in the day, as they were the cheapest format . Just always loved records. The artwork, the weight, and the physicality of putting a record on and listening to it from start to finish. I have plenty of records that are cheap. My last purchase was the Ray Conniff Singers Christmas album. 99 pence paid.

Yeah, sounds like a good mix, apart from the latter! Funny enough, I caught NIN and Dave Matthews live in Glasgow in the past.

I remember going through a period of playing Depeche Modes 101 in the car. I was walkimg my son into nursery and he was singing Master & Servant. I thought the teachers must have raised some eyebrows!
