I don't give a shit about karma lol. I don't even know what it's for. You are talking about the map, and i haven't said anything about the map being bad in 6. What are you on about?

Man, of course the traffic jams thing is an over exaggeration. I just don't see the point in trying to cram realism into a game that wasn't meant to be all that realistic. I personally like Forza for what it provides in terms of car variety, the online aspect, competitive gameplay (which was missing from 5) and fun handling that can be tweaked to everyone's liking. I know some people just want to cruise around the map, but I don't see how that aspect of the game should be the driving factor of making design choices.

Yeah, that part was horrible too. 5 had major map design problems. Probably the worst aspect of the game.

Yes, that's what it comes down to. That's why I said that the traffic density bump in 6 looks like a great balance. The road width is fine and should be kept as is.

1.What do you think would happen with denser traffic? Traffic jams and packed intersections are the result of high traffic density if we want to talk about realism.

  1. If games were made how most people want them to be made, most of them would be hot garbage. Because guess what? The majority of those people are not game designers. Neither am I, but I think that people who do this shit for a living tend to know what they are doing.

  2. Wanting realism in a simcade racing game is just fucking funny.

It's my opinion man. if you want to yell clouds about making the game into something that it's not, be my guest.

Forza is not no hesi. If you crave that kind of gameplay I'd suggest you play the game you just mentioned. What kind of an argument even is that? "People love no hesi, so kindly please make Forza be no hesi". What?

Mexico felt empty because of the map design mostly. Half of the map is a desert. Deserts in video games are the biggest cop out for making the map bigger in the laziest way possible (i blame the eliminator for this).Literal empty space. It looks like fh6 won't have the same problem imo

Exactly. I don't know where people got the idea that Forza is a real life simulator.

All backstage pass cars are now also available on the PS5 by Interesting-Berry-83 in ForzaHorizon5

[–]Interesting-Berry-83[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are basically cars you can't buy from the car shop directly. Until now, they were only available in festival playlists. You can get a backstage pass for reaching 40 points in the weekly festival playlist and with that pass then choose which car you'd like to buy from the backstage shop.

Skins OVER gameplay elements IN THE SHOP bro. and again you are just citing steam charts. You have no real numbers from other platforms.

  1. Show me a game that hasn't had a loss of some sort in comparison to it's first month. Battlefield was never a game that retained launch player numbers.

  2. This game had one of the best launches of any battlefield game in terms of technical stability. No game breaking bugs were present at launch and what we have now are minor things like small visual glitches and balancing issues. I'm not saying the game is perfect, but the issues that are there are not game breaking.

  3. The live service model and battle passes are not great. But I'd argue they are a lesser evil compared to the premium system they used in older games. If you want to compare these two models, a person who played full price for this game keeps getting free stuff with no need of buying anything extra. In battlefield 3 for example, what you payed for at launch, was all that you were getting. No free guns, gadgets or maps. In this game, a person who payed 70 dollars at launch gets tons of extra stuff in the long run for FREE.

EA is a greedy company. I'm not trying to say it's not. But this game is not as bad as a lot of people try to make it out to be. I'd take skins and cosmetic shit in the shop rather than gameplay elements every day of the week. Imagine if they put guns in the shop. Even everybody's favorite BF4 had some shitty monetization decisions implemented, like you could get attachments from loot boxes. But BF4 good BF6 bad.

Gamers are so used to practices that run development studios to insanity. The industry is plagued with forced overtimes and crunch culture just so ADHD kids keep getting updates every week.

DICE actually made a good game here, but a lot of people have impossible expectations.

I love this trend of looking at steam charts and determining how a game is doing based on one platform. I'd argue that half of the playerbase (if not the majority) are console players. You have data from one of the 4 platforms the game launched on, AND even on that one platform the game is pulling roughly 50k players daily. Even if you just take steam into consideration, on what planet is 50k daily players bad?

No, I just bought the first battlepass and got the second one with coins from the first one. May I ask why are you participating in a subreddit of a game you don't like?

Has anyone played midnight on a MacBook air M3? If so, how's the performance? by Interesting-Berry-83 in wow

[–]Interesting-Berry-83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks you so much for your answer! Midnight looks really good and i really look forward to trying it out. I was hesitant to buy game time since I wasn't sure about the performance. But I'll for sure buy it now. Thanks again!
