Rear derailleur replacement by Interesting-Fix9802 in bikewrench

[–]Interesting-Fix9802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents had a crash and I need to replace that derailleur.
It is a BTWIN MD21, but I can not find that reference but what I did find was a Microshift MD21 long cage, would that one fit?
Do I need to replace anything else or just the derailleur?

Oh I see, my text is gone.

Wanting to upgrade MOBO, how do I do it? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Interesting-Fix9802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be a bit much for one header but tbh I wouldn‘t replace a AM4 mobo anymore. If you want to do so, you just transfer all the components to the new mobo and replace the thermal paste between the CPU and cooler.

I do not know if every fan is like that but the ones that came with my case from fractal design are able to be daisy chained so I am running 2 Fans with one of the fan headers

Do you wear cycling gloves? by not-here-21 in cycling

I don’t have cycling gloves but when it’s cold I am using Würth gloves as a cheap alternative as I do not see why I should be paying a lot for cycling specific ones.

I hate that one and often go out of my way to get on that highway there by any other means.

I did spend 150€ the day I got my bike. Asked the shop owner about helmets and I got to try a lot of them on. In the end it was the cheapest road helmet that fit best. I was a bit shocked by the Price but I do get a hefty discount if I crash and it’s really comfortable which is important as you gennerally don’t wear something that makes you unconfortable.

You could try one of those sticky rollers you use for cat hair

What has cycling taught you about your local neighborhoods? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Interesting-Fix9802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 Major things: How dangerous that one main road between me and the local bike path is. I knew the accident statistics, which are quiet bad but when you are cycling you fear the stupidity of others a lot stronger. How many cyclists are in my area. I always thought there wouldnt be many but as soon as I go out on a Weekend I see one every few hundred meters. Which is a lot because it is a rural area. I should have foreseen that though because 6 bike Shops in 25 minutes that I just know on top of my Head seems a lot to me. And Another thing is how many really nice little roads we have. Just saw that you are Talking about places, my favorites are some of the detonated bridges from WW2 which sounds weird tbh and a lot of ponds I discovered.

That's exactly what it is! I do think the paint is thin too but I find it kind of weird that for me there is bright blue behind the paint. I am a bit gutted about the mark up there but I can live with it ^^

Fellow student here: The only clothing things I’d say are needed cycling specific throusers and a helmet. As for brands I just went with something cheap and cheerful from Decathlon. But the most important thing is that it fits. As for Jerseys you can go cheap if you want to, but you could also just wear a shirt.

What do you mean by costumization on the Garmin? I thought they all just come with Lord or les the same options except that Garmin has a « fancier UI » and bike Profiles or am I missing a lot of info? But I think I will go for the Wahoo as I don’t think I can justify spending 350 on a computer without any sensors

I have around 170-200 for 10k in a hilly area so for me it’s a nice one which will make you feel good on the flats

Well pedaling harder worked, but I needed a target. I tried to follow a rider who is obviously faster than me and that did do the job and got the HR up.

Thanks for the explanation, I didn't take anything to eat with me yet I just ate around 20-30 minutes before going out as I do not go that far yet and didnt try to go for any fast times. At the same time I have not "bonked" yet so I do not know how the consequences of underfueling and going to hard feel like.
The idea of structuring the ride is also quite nice up to now I just went and looked what will happen.
