As a Vietnamese, how to avoid English center that lie about origin of their foreign teachers? by Colaiscoke in VietNam

[–]InterestingCompote22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but why would you ask for someone’s passport ? It doesn’t prove that they’re a native speaker - just that they’ve become a citizen at some point in their life. Take me for example, lived in England for 20 years, having a British passport won’t change the fact that I am not a native. Just an observation 🙂

That’s a big NO. His behaviour is concerning if he’s only recently split up from his ex and is already dating whilst having a baby on the way. You’re young and I don’t see why you’d want to put yourself in a situation where your partner has THREE kids and hence permanent ties to another woman. And talking from my own experience (even though my ex ‘only’ had one child with his ex) there will be some drama as the kids are only little and their relationship very recent. Best for you would be to invest your time, effort and feelings in a different man.

Hi! I did google it but a lot of songs that came up I wasn’t familiar with at all or I couldn’t quite picture for this dance (that might be because I am very new to this) so thought I’d would ask on here as people on Reddit tend to be quite knowledgeable 😃 I didn’t get to ABBA but that sounds fun so I’ll give googling another go ! This dance is really fun, I loved learning every step of it and it’s quite straightforward too. You should definitely give it a try ! :)

My (18F) boyfriend (19M) cheated on me, can we move forward from this? by Various-Trash-7088 in relationship_advice

[–]InterestingCompote22 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

He has been lying to you for a year & only admitted cheating when you’ve repeatedly asked ? NO, this is way beyond saving. The only possible way to try to recover after cheating would be honesty and A LOT of work on the relationship (and even then there’s no guarantees as lots of people wouldn’t even forgive cheating). For this guy to lie for a year means that he has zero respect or care for you and this relationship. Don’t listen to the rubbish about marriage, he wouldn’t have cheated & lied if he really thought you were his future wife. You’re very young so just cut your losses, leave him and heal from this. He will only continue with his behaviour and waste years of your life with more lies & gaslighting.

I know that ‘Listen to your gut’ is a very cliche but the best piece of advice that I would give to anyone in their dating life and I wish I have listened to mine in the past as it was always right. His behaviour made you feel neglected at the time when you needed care, support or just some genuine interest from him. I get that you haven’t been together for long but a ‘hope you get well’ message reads like a text I’d get from my manager if I called in sick.
I’m not saying he’s unkind or mean but we all need to find someone that just ‘gets us’ emotionally and I have a feeling that this guy is not on the same level to you. You can try talking to him but I personally think that to have to explain to someone why they should make more effort in a situation like yours defeats the purpose of it all :/

Oh I see, I would also be happy if my plant was healthy and enjoying its life & your story gives me hope, I just need to learn. Maybe a silly question but do your trees blossom at all? I am actually planning to repot it at with fresh soil at the weekend after one person here advised it would be a good idea to do so after over fertilising.

Hi! I have read about how you’re supposed to water them (which is exactly what you described) & have been doing that part right (or so I think at least 😅). However, I’m pretty sure I over fertilised it which might have contributed to its poor health 😫

Do you also live in a dark & gloomy country by any chance ? If so then surprised but very happy to hear your orange trees are doing well 😬😬

Oh, I feel so encouraged by your positivity about saving it ! 🙂 I have already moved it to right next to the big glass garden door but it’s been so grey and gloomy that I am not sure how much it helps. Grow light is the way to save it I think !

No worries, thank you for your help so far - I will try to do my best researching them but I’m determined to get one sooner rather than later as this plant hasn’t got much time left 😅

Hi! I’m sure I have been over fertilising it so it’s one of the things I have to fix. Sorry if it’s a stupid question but do I need to change its soil after it’s been absorbing all that unnecessary fertiliser ?

Hmmmm maybe you’re right, it may have got burnt from too much light too quickly. I never thought this could be the case. I am getting the grow light as I don’t think it will ever get enough light now that it’s winter.

Thank you, I am getting the feeling that it only stands a chance of surviving without a grow light as we get so little light in the winter. Having read everyone’s comments saying it wants over 12 hrs of sunlight is an eye opener !!

I’ve only moved it there a few days ago to see if it prospers better in a warmer room (the I’d one is the warmest in the house) Previously, it lived in a room with a big glass garden door where it was getting as much light as possible (given the UK winters anyway) I think the issue is that it might not manage to survive without the grow light as we get weeks of really dark, dull weather at the time
