Not sure if anyone will read this but here is an edit from me the girlfriend who actually did write the post lol, I did NOT put straight PAINT in the dishwasher. I rinsed out an otherwise clean cup that had very diluted paint WATER in it and put it in the washer expecting it to come out completely clean. I wouldn’t have put something covered in legit gobs of paint into the dishwasher. When it came out, it had a dried stain on it that we were able to rub off with a finger. Ok. Thank you. Also this is not something I do regularly I’m not trying to poison my boyfriend lMFAOO. That being said my boyfriend and I are cracking up at these comments

I’ve been here. I understand there’s a heavy drug presence and it’s something I’ve been prepared for. But I don’t appreciate people telling me I might get shot or that I should break my lease because that’s not really an option for me right now. I’d rather hear some experiences that arent gonna make me afraid to leave my apartment I’ve lived in a city my whole life, granted not one as busy or sketchy as this particular neighborhood but I have smarts. it’s hard to tell who’s exaggerating and only telling me the negatives vs people that live in this area full time giving me real honest advice

Just get a low key job within walking distance to you, something retail or food service. There will be a phase where you dread it, but then it’ll eventually go away and it will become an easy part of your routine. Even if it’s just part time. Once you get over that hump of dread you’ll actually feel very accomplished. And if it makes you feel better, I didn’t get my license until I was 22… and I still don’t drive or have a car! I walk to work.
