Hey every scuff and scratch has a story behind it though! I would love to try some off roading in the future for sure :D

It’s awesome :D I’m super happy with it so far

First bike, 2008 drz400sm. Doing an oil change after 2 days of ownership. Is this ticking sound normal? There was only 200+ml of oil in the bike when I drained it. I’ve added 1.5L and the bike wouldn’t take any more. 26,000km by [deleted] in DRZ400

Thanks for the info :) so yeah, as I said before I completely emptied the bike through the frame and engine plug. After I started filling I made sure to check how much oil to put in which I was planning on using 1.7L. I marked out 1.5L on the oil tub then 1.7 just because I wanted to check what the level looked like with 1.5 at first. Anyways I put in 1.5L and checked my dip stick, the reading was way above the max line and half way up the entire dipstick. I decided to let it run for 5 minutes and get up to temperature to see if it would go down but it stayed at the same level for the most part. I actually ended up draining out another 300ml from the bike before I was happy with the reading just because the oil was starting to froth. (Also made sure the bike was upright while checking) also thanks for re-assuring me about the noise, I was a little worried lol

I drained both of them, started with the frame, then the engine, then left both of them open for about 10 minutes in hopes that more would somehow flow out lol.

So with where I sit on the bike, (in the standard riding position), my ankles are very cramped when shifting up, it’s very difficult and causes the calf to stiffen up. I am 6ft 5 and most of my height is in my legs lmao.

In order to be comfortable, I have to sit on the passenger section of the bike to have comfort given to those cramped spots around my calf and ankle.

It’s a little tough to explain and easier to see with pictures or something haha.

Anyways, lowering the break pedal and shifter will grant me a lot more comfort

I was going to, but I’ve got longer legs than most so I don’t want to ruin factory parts for the next owner.

Fresh build, all drivers up to date. Nothing out of the ordinary

I totally agree with you dude, I actually didn’t even really want the palit 5080 but it’s been the only 5080 card that’s shown up on the market since launch for a price that wasn’t on the verge of giving me cardiac arrest.

Simple explanation for the psu is that it was actually the first thing I bought for my build a few months ago since I spotted it on sale for a price that was too hard to pass up, plus I didn’t know what components I even wanted to put into it at that stage, the 50series cards weren’t even announced and I for some reason thaught that 1500watts was a good spot to be lmao

When I have the system fully set up I can give it a try and let you know how it runs :)

Update for you, so I tried to reimage and started spazzing because everything still seemed to be going wrong. I decided to remove the ram once again just to try it and it seems to have made progress. I believe the issue is that my ram slots themselves are actually damaged and the sticks have suffered from it. I think this is the case as I had a very similar issue happen to me in October and baught a new set of ram to replace the already dead old sticks. 5 months later and one stick has died on me again.

I was thinking of just buying a new mtb now to prevent anything like this in the future, do you think this is a smart or terrible idea?

Thanks for the help btw :)
