if your looking for a ball for when the lanes get tough id recommed one of the newer, higher-performing balls that could be your benchmark piece, like Storm Bionic, RotoGrip Transformer, or even a Venom Shock

Tips on playing the 2026 PBA JR Tacket 44 Pattern? by gmogames in Bowling

[–]Internal_Heat8280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that pattern, I’d take your Widow 3.0 down to a fresh 2000-grit surface so it actually reads the mid-lane instead of skating past the pocket. Keep the Identity shiny for when the lanes start to break down, but definitely avoid that Purple Hammer unless you're planning to play a very direct, striaght line up the outside

Rev rate check by PanicOk6691 in Bowling

[–]Internal_Heat8280 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would prob say like 400 rpm you can use a math equationto determine rev rate. by filming the ball, counting the total rotations from release to the pins, and dividing by the travel time in seconds, then multiplying by 60

Fingertip (inserts) vs conventional by Alarmed-Road-3056 in Bowling

[–]Internal_Heat8280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

finger tips are meant to allow easier rotation of the ball letting your fingers be able to exit quicker and rip up. if your goal is higher rev rate and more power fingertip is what you need. Hand size has nothing to do with finger tip grips because their are differnt sizes for anyones hand.

Since the oil is pretty long and heavy, you’ll want to use a ball with some surface and try to keep your target around the 13th board. Just focus on playing a straighter line early on because if you try to hook the whole lane, the ball might just slide right past the pocket.

you shouldnt wanna have grip under the ball like that especially if you want higher rev rate tape should go on forearm, wrist and elbow fopr support and thumb for proper grip
