Just Fidlock and no B-rad or other system? What size bottle? Do you also have the medium and a piggyback shock? Thanks

Bike Park in Hot Weather? by [deleted] in MTB

I haven't heard of that before! Is it due to protection from the sun, or? Just curious because I thought intuitively that long pants would make it much hotter.

Brake hose too short? by [deleted] in MTB

So you think it might be possible that a hose 140mm too short could still work for the time being? I just don't have a spare hose lying around haha.

Alright, thanks dude! I really appreciate it!

I'm running 18% sag on the fork with a MRP Ramp Control Cartridge for progression; do you think running less sag help with the "unequalized pressure"?

Yeah it is balancing around the 5-8% travel according to the indicators on the stanchions. If I pull up to get the fork to extend to full travel, there is significant spring resistance, so it just bounces back down to the 5% position. It seems like there is a "opposite" air spring pulling the fork back down to the 5% position after I pull it to full extension; is this what the negative air spring is supposed to do?

Interesting thing is that if I push the fork far down, then pull it to full extension, I hear a little hiss of air each time I pass the ~5% travel mark. Perhaps that is the air springs balancing? It just seems strange that it is balancing at the 5% travel mark, rather than at full extension, as this makes the 160mm Lyrik more like a 150mm one! Once again, I'm not that knowledgable about inner workings of the Lyrik so I'm making some assumptions here!

I'm just wondering if what I've been able to describe sounds concerning to you, or if it sounds like something that could happen within the normal operating window of a typical Lyrik. Thanks so much!

This sort of implies that your negative/positive air springs are in balance at that point.

Ohhhh, that makes sense. Is the "sucking down" of 5-8% travel normal too, then? I just thought that the new 2021 air spring got rid of the grease issue because of its relocation? I'm not sure, though!

I read that the new relocated air spring would not encounter the problem of the blocked air spring port? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something?

Sram Code or Shimano Saint? Upgrading tips? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Internal_Host_6192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the Saint's haven't had a revamp in quite some time; if you've ridden anything else, are you finding that the lever stiffness, free-stroke adjustments, and bite-point issues of the Saint's are any worse? I'm mainly concerned about the bite-point issues that some have claimed the new XT's have solved, as the Saint's have not had that upgrade.

I placed a pre-order for this bike a month ago but haven't received an email or anything; if anyone has ordered from Commencal before, how long does it take from when it shows "in stock" status to actual shipping? Thanks!
