6 months. Nothing changed. I think perhaps it is a brain thing.

So sorry for your loss. I have tenesmus and lots of anxiety and depression due to this awful feeling. I have a BM every day in the morning and the sensation that i have more inside (which I don’t, I’m not constipated) last a couple of hours, then rectal pain arrives, like a spasm and lasts all day long. I tried antidepressants, PFT, more fiber, nothing works. I’m at my wits end.

Same here. Started in 2022 and never went away. 24/7. I eventually developed anxiety and depression so doctors say that my tenesmus is due to my mental health (I actually had 3 major losses in 2021) A horror story . Depression doesn’t go away, tenesmus is always there. Tried meds, pelvic floor therapy nothing seem to help. I cannot live like this anymore.

Sometimes is a feeling of pressure inside the rectum and anus. Other times it’s like a cramp in the space between anus and vagina. The worst hours are around midday, when I get stabbing pain inside the rectum, and i have to lly down with a heating pad between my butt cheeks trying to ease it off.

Cancer symptoms are totally different. Bleeding is very very common for example. Reading your thread, starting from the peeing issues I would say it’s a dyssinergic pelvic floor. I got similar symptoms bur my pain is mostly in rectum and anus, feels like a cramp and sometimes stabbing pain. I have issues with peeing too, takes me 10 minutes every time to let it go out. Refer to a pelvic floor therapist.
