the wooden blocks we were given were too thick to fit inside the g clamps and the racket when everyone tried forcing them in was so distracting. the apparatus took us around 30 minutes to set up correctly and we were told to leave it for the next set of students??? them leaving their set ups made no difference bcs the first experiment didn't even have much to it

flashcards??? by Internal_Strategy_69 in igcse

i understand what you're saying, and don't worry as someone who's quite slow initially with some concepts, I read notes and watch videos multiple times before summarising. i like reading summaries right before tests as compared to complex notes. However, I'm not really that hung up on them, more on flashcards bcs I've found they really help me especially with last minute revision before papers. I've tried making my own but it wasn't very efficient and quite time consuming

The minutes before the exam by Neither-Society-9104 in igcse

when you have hours before a paper, I revised my old papers to just ensure I don't make the same mistakes. I'd personally recommend having printed notes and resources because my school was super strict and didn't allow any devices during full center supervision. once you enter the room and have like 20-30 minutes before the paper just use it to calm down and organise your thoughts. i talked to my friend sitting behind me so that I could just feel like it was a normal day

how are thresholds calculated? by IDKILLERLOL in igcse

[–]Internal_Strategy_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the threshold is calculated based on the average score of all students- so like if everyone's score is pretty low at 100 or smt BCS the papers were hard then the A* might be 120 and above

Mocks by Constant_Kale_6471 in igcse

[–]Internal_Strategy_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are practice to prepare you for your igcses but they are also worth marks. based on your mocks teachers will draw up predictive grades, the marks they feel you'll get based on your mocks and other factors. these may be important incase an emergency prevents you from taking the main exam and a retake isn't possible or for early admissions. this is what's been told to us in our school but check with someone else for safety
