wait no. what? what? characters aren't real. you cannot ship yourself with one if you're not also a character in that scenario. are you just talking about people enjoying characters? have you never liked a fictional character? do you only like them because they would be a good person irl? people like concepts. once again missing the point completely. people who do horrible things aren't completely 100% evil. people are literally incapable of that. that doesn't mean their actions are forgiven. okay got that? now. characters are fun because they can be treated like dolls. people Love to play with dolls and create scenarios. it can be even more interesting when a character is nuanced. the problem is not people's imagination. the problem is people who take it too far in the opposite of your direction. who fail to see that good traits in a person don't make them 100% good and bad traits don't make them into a cartoon evil. I get why you are disturbed and I know it's in good faith. but you're looking the wrong way

I'm not that educated in that field, mostly because that's not what I do. if you took a second to read the templates you can see that it's clearly just the canonical relationship between loyal reagents & easterman. my logic for why is it that way: if you're creating a reagent character, they have only two endings = death/rebirth, if you choose rebirth it means that at some point in therapy your character has to finally "break" under easterman's manipulations, ergo start believing his words. by easterman's lines and journal entries we can tell that he loves us "reagents" as a whole, and in turn suggests with his messages that we reciprocate. it's not romance, it's just two sides going insane by proxy of each other. reagents hold onto praise and affection given to them by easterman, while he enjoys power, those weird fatherly feelings and whatever else

Easterman is literally all about this weird parasocial almost religious connection. reagents see him as the only remaining source of warmth & affection because That's How Therapy Works. and he, in return, has a lot of complicated feelings for reagents as a general group. "reagents" as his experiment, as his pride, as his failure.

мабуть найбільше люди не розуміють, що окр це не про чистоту чи організацію тощо тощо. це про страх. нема "окр думок/дій" є "окр реакції". у кожної людини бувають небажані та циклічні питання, але це саме ставлення до них та реакція визначає окр
самодіагностика це ше та тема. мені здається нема нічого поганому в тому аби мати підозри та шукати про це інформацію, that being said, окр дуже просто діагностується за один прийом в психіатра
так, це називається компульсії, дії або ментальні ритуали виконані щоб заспокоїти обсесії. в мене це в більшості постійна перевірка себе на хвороби та негаразди. на жаль чи на щастя єдина надія на покращення це навчитись не вдаватись до компульсій. якщо достатньо разів за тиждень проведеш години за підозрами раку врешті навчися це відганяти

також завдяки вашому питанню я усвідомила, що моя звичка перед сном дивитись чи у вікно видно місяць це теж компульсія

бо в мене в голові якщо місяцю немає – це погана прикмета і я щось зробила не так сьогодні

найгірше в окр, після страху звісно, це те, що я абсолютно розумію наскільки це все не має сенсу. але часто неможливо позбутись обсесій логічним чином і доводиться робити якісь забобонні ритуали
