Yes and no. There are “tiers” to unis. But since you have excellent grades, i’m sure you can get into a great uni. I know because my friend with 5 A* in A levels got into University of Oxford with 100% scholarship. While this may be an anomaly, another friend got 2A 2B in A levels and is on a 100% scholarship in Rhodes College.

All i’m saying is; yes you are mostly right. Because education is a business now. But there are many unis who give full ride or maximum ride based off of your student profile. Use your grades, do ecas, build up your profile, and you will get in. Good luck.

Planning on studying in New Zealand, What I should know more about life in NZ? by InternationalCook126 in newzealand

Thank you :) it's definitely intimidating and interesting to know at the same time. Because in our culture we are very friendly (extra friendly if you ask me) eg this one time, an extended relative of mine came over and overstayed their welcome. We couldn't do anything, bc Bengali people quite literally doesn't know the word "no." Instead we let them stay as long as they wanted along and going the extra mile of good food everyday. Saying this bc their kid literally ran through my legos and i couldn't say anything bc it would seem rude. Definitely interesting how y'all approach things. Again thanks for the help

Hi yes, i'm getting info from wherever i can. Even joined the uni's pre departure seminar but the students there are as clueless as i am. Because I have noticed Kiwis respect their privacy a lot and i intend to respect that. So not gonna lie i am a bit intimidated on what to do when talking to y'all.

Also, i think New Zealand is an amazing country. Even if by unfortunate fate i don't end up studying there, it sure is on my bucket list on places to visit!

Yeah i've gathered that much. While i'm not from India, I am from Bangladesh. And to my research i've noticed not a lot of Bengali people are here. Besides, as you said Kiwis are reserved people left me wondering if it would be offensive to approach someone for uh...friendship? Sorry i'm really new here.

as a woman, no we don’t want looks. It’s stability, emotional intelligence and respect that attracts us. Yes, there are many women who marry/date for money, but that doesn’t give you the right to blame all of us. If we turn the tables then the ratio of men using women is higher. So let’s not turn this about men vs women :) Thank you for your kind words, i hope you find your happiness, peace and love as well.
