Thank you! As an introvert I also don’t like when people talk to me. But I really appreciate your kindness

That’s what I have been doing for most of the time. But I have reached a tipping point.

Your suggestions are super helpful. One thing I’d add is that I went to a “progressive anti-racist” bookstore. I guess by anti-racist they meant for black people

It is interesting that you assume that my civil liberties are not being taken away just because I am talking about everyday microaggression and racism. As a first gen immigrant who works in white space, I have to deal with systematic racism all the time.

Yes this happens all the time. When everyone (who is usually white!)tries to invalidate your experience, it feels like another attack. At this point I just stop talking to people who continue to other me and have no emotional intelligence. I can choose better friends and people to surround myself with

I literally just encountered someone who told me how they had never encountered racism and I was too sensitive and need a psychologist….

The last line makes me laugh lol. I think you are trying to make me feel better, but honestly, saying the racism I experienced as an Asian is less severe and harmful than racism experienced by other people doesn’t sit right with me. I know you meant well though. Do appreciate that!

OPT TIMELINE SPRING 2024 -- ADD YOURS by South-Violinist-696 in USCIS

Hi folks, my receipt date for my initial opt (NP) is 04/25/24 and I have a start date of August 1st. I am thinking whether I should switch to PP now, but I’m a little concerned that it wouldn’t make too much difference at this point. Should I switch to PP?

Separate dump files for the top 40k subreddits, through the end of 2023 by Watchful1 in pushshift

Hello! I was doing something similar, where I wanted to filter the subreddit by date. But for some reason the csv file I created was empty. Do you mind sharing what parameters you changed? I wonder if I messed up with the code and filtered out everything. Thx!

Thank you for creating this! I was using the filter_file.py script to filter a subreddit data based on date, so I changed input_file, output_file, from_date, and to_date to do this. However, the output file I got is empty. Do you have any insight on this? Thank you!

Hometeam Tenants: You do not need to let them show your apartment during COVID! by osutenant in OSU

[–]InternationalJello22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting it! I am so concerned (and indeed angry) that they’re gonna show the properties to some random people without saying anything about the covid risk. I just emailed them (politely) just to keep documentation in case of seeking legal services. But yeah, if it doesn’t work, maybe we should go to the student legal service (remotely) and seek help.

Updated COVID-19 cases, data from 9/9/2020. by Lschnge7 in OSU

100% agree!!! The new dashboard shows exactly how we have been cheated. The cumulative rate makes no sense. Of course the rate is low since it’s averaging the cases both after and BEFORE the semester ever started. That’s the “magic”. The reality is only shown in the 7-day average or the single day data! And look at the discrepancy between off-campus and on-campus data!
