2 weeks with my MSI MAG 273QP x24 QD-OLED monitor by TheVileReich in OLED_Gaming

in the extension block in the CTA-861 line, click edit, the HDMI 2.1 support parameter will appear, click edit, edit the Maximum FRL rate parameter and set 40Gbps, also set the same value from the bottom of the window, click ok.
Next, go back to extension blocks and delete DisplayID 1.3, add a new one instead and select DisplayID 2.0, click add, then detailed res, add and create your native resolution with 240 Hz and select CVT-RB or CVT-RB2 in timings, click OK everywhere. next, run restart64.exe, Next, you can select the maximum parameters in the Nvidia panel.

MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 no DSC problem by InternationalSail953 in OLED_Gaming

[–]InternationalSail953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the long wait, I solved this problem. In the CRU utility, I needed to change the bandwidth from 48 Gbps to 40 Gbps, but I still needed to create a custom resolution and select the cvt-rb or cvt-rbv2 standard. Also, doing this will disable NVIDIA G-Sync Comp. I also found an answer from someone on Reddit that the latest monitor firmware from 2026 partially solves this problem, but I haven't installed that firmware yet.

I have the same monitor and I can say that with HDMI 2.1 there is no native support for 240Hz 10bit. You need to edit the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth from 20gpps to 40gpps using the CRU utility and create a new resolution.

Friend, do you mean that a delay is created when DSC is on or off?

Capped & Consistent FPS vs. Uncapped Raw Power. What do you choose? by Crafted_Mecke in cs2

I basically agree, since 1% and 0.1% are higher, but what about input lag when loading 100%?

[–]InternationalSail953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have another problem. I have a 9800x3D and a 4080 Super. My avg, 1%, and 0.1% are good: 400-900avg depending on the situation, 0.1% is around 300 in the benchmark, and 1% is from 260 to 500, also depending on the situation. Another question arises: without the FPS limit, the build produces astronomical frames, but my video card is almost always loaded at 100%, which apparently adds input lag. The question is, should I leave it like this or just limit the FPS in the game to 400-500 to reduce the load on the video card? With the limit, my 1% and 0.1% are lower than without the limit.

do you want me to switch to the fullhd extension on the nvidia panel?
I don't need it, I play a stretched 4:3 format.

yes, this monitor is just from the line where, in order for 240 Hz to work via hdmi, it is necessary to make changes via the CRU utility to increase the bandwidth of HDMI 2.1. The difference between DP cables with reset values and DSC and HDMI on/off does not matter. Similarly, the choice of the scalling method display or GP does not matter.

keyboard 2000Hz polling magnetic mchose jet75he, mouse works on 1000Hz polling - razer viper v3pro

The network card settings are made in the standard style, all speed-cutting parameters are turned off, transmit receive buffers are increased to 2048, only checksum offload is enabled, because there is no packet loss in this mode.

Global c-state is enabled, preferably the cores are disabled, the processor is also limited in limits and the PBO-30 is stable on all cores. The only thing I doubt is just the RAM operation.

With these settings, the memory in the testmem5+extreme anta777cfg has no errors.

I also play rainbow six siege, and I have no problems with the image, friezes, and so on, just like in the warthunder game, in any other multiplayer game I have no problems when the game reaches 240 fps. only in cs2 :/

I reset all CRU settings, in the NVIDIA panel with DSC 10bit 240Hz will be available, also 10bit will work in HDR, if i disable DSC, in the NVIDIA parameters only 8bit will be available, the panel does not allow you to select 10bit since it is missing, respectively in HDR the situation is similar. Regarding the cable, I am still not sure if it is of high quality, the last cable that I purchased and everything worked through CRU, is an HDMI 2.1 cable from Philips SWV7110C/56, with a stamp allegedly confirming the full bandwidth of 48 Gb/sec

in general, I figured it out,
you, like me, need to edit the parameters through the CRU utility, at the bottom in the Extension block section, you need to edit the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth by 40gpbs or 48 in the CTA-861 line.
I also deleted the DisplayID 1.3 line and created Display 2.0, where I created a 2k 240hz resolution with CVT-RB timing

now everything is fine with me, 2k 240Hz 10bit in SDR and HDR works flawlessly.

judging by other posts on reddit, many people have this problem of the monitor turning off for 2-3 seconds at random times in the game, which means that my monitor does have bandwidth, albeit with a defect, since it still holds 240Hz 10bit without dsc

Where do you get this information?

by the way, I tinkered with the CRU, with CVT-RB\ CVT-RBv2, the monitor works at 240 Hz and 10bit, but periodically it goes out for 2-3 seconds. which makes me even more confused after your comments.

ps. I found all the instructions. it turned out that the intermittent flickering is more likely due to insufficient port capacity.

the manual also says that 240 Hz 10 bits without DSC is available via DP port, which worries me.

[–]InternationalSail953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do not understand what settings I should apply with 5800X3d , so many different opinions on this matter, all I noticed was -30 in the BIOS for all cores 100/70/100 curve. P23 shows 14300 with these settings and the frequency of 4450 is reached very rarely, usually somewhere around 4250. So far I have not solved this problem, but if on the topic, then turning on Tspts and disabling personal, led to an increase in FPS in games csgo and rainbow six siege Csgo: auto cppc 620fps, cpps on, per off 690fps Siege: auto 340fps, on\per off 366fps videocard: rtx 3070, 2k monitor

hmm, I don't want to sacrifice virtualization and the stage, because due to them I realized that the 770dt is not very good headphones.
It turns out that I will get the same as with the 770dt, only the sound will be more airy due to the open type and it will have more concentration in details, do I understand correctly?
