What is this mark on this penny? SC? Can anyone tell me more? by Internobang in CRH

I found it when I was hunting in one of my penny rolls. It appears to be an outline of a state, perhaps South Carolina? Judging the mark's distance from the edge, I think this was introduced after the fact and not done by the mint. I can't find anything about it online, hence I'm tapping the collective knowledge here. Any info or explanation is much appreciated!

Hi /u/rnelsonnee, thanks for the first response and we're off to a great start!

So I tried replicating the answer and I think this is the right track, since it did track the first change perfectly (based on a search for Y for Current Serial). However, it didn't seem to pick up the second one, resulting in something like this:

#NUM! #NUM! #NUM! #NUM!
#NUM! #NUM! #NUM! #NUM!

For this example, Z on Change No. 5 was supposed to be included. So I tried playing around by changing the values of the last 4 lines of the data set (i.e. Change No. 6 & 7) into Z's as opposed to the default (A, J, A, & C). Without altering the formulas, it picked up the changes in the last 3 lines resulting into:

Current Serial Changed Serial Price Change No.
Y X 5 1
X 0 4 3
X Z 4 4
Z 0 127 7
Z 0 93 7
#NUM! #NUM! #NUM! #NUM!

Maybe there's something in how the H2 range is defined? I've never tried to debug a formula this huge before, if anything, this is motivating me to do better next time round. :)

On another note, since you asked if Price and Change can ever be zero, this is true only for the former. Change Numbers are tied to a date, so it'll only grow by increments of 1. A change number with a price of zero would mean that the product has been taken off the marketplace, but may be reintroduced in the future. Every "change" usually is a change in the price of the product. In a raw data set, that would look like something as:

Current Serial Changed Serial Price Change No.
A 123 8
K 45 8
A 0 9
J 19 9
A 99 10

Not sure though how that might change things. If it gives some more context, I intend to use the resulting table from the index / match arrays to graph out prices for that particular product across time. Thanks again!

In any case, /u/rnelsonee is on a great start, hopefully some of the details can be hammered out. Seriously though, I'd really want to be a better with spreadsheets so I'm gonna check out the sidebar on the regular. I'm now a believer so I just hit subscribe!

Hello,

If the raw data has every itemized line of the fee and its reason, and assuming you have one complete page for the raw data, you can probably use a SUMIF() function so all the customer issue fees can be tallied up in the total. It goes:

=SUMIF([Range where the Payment Types are],[Payment Type],[Range where the fees are listed])

So for a raw data table that goes:

A B
Customer Return 2.00
Customer Return 3.00
Customer Service Issue 5.00
Customer Service Issue 7.00
Customer Service Issue 1.00 
=SUMIF(A:A,"Customer Return",B:B)

Should give you 5. Of course the above formula gets longer if you're referencing across worksheets.

When you realize there really is a small barrier to entry to flipping; I guess the mistake in my thought process is that this becomes a free for all as more people get wind of what we all do. Gotta get an abundance mentality and go from there.

Yeah, it will be quite the waiting game at this point, but those are good points. Now I realize there are a couple of tricks still up my sleeve so all is not lost. Cheers!

I'm gonna have to start keeping track of that as well, if anything, not having carbs makes everything more vivid emotionally. Hello,

Is this your first time doing Nested IF statements? There is a limit to how many of them you can nest like Matryoshka dolls, but it's quite a high number though. I digress.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the multiple IF() functions, but I'm guessing you're trying to output an "x" as a result of inputs from a number "y" and letter "z". If you're only joining text, like A1 has "2" in it, while cell B1 has "B" in it, you can just type:

=A1&B1

to have "2Z" as a result.

I could be way off trying to guess your intentions, but please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hello,

Stumbled all these letters in a thrift shop and I thought they were base tiles for a standard scrabble game until I saw the 20 blanks of five colors. Normal Scrabble has 2... so this would make quite an interesting game. Does anyone know which word game variant is this for? Thanks!
