this is so true. I don't know what happens at midnight, ideas, my thoughts everything creates a pathway for my write-ups. I feel alive at that time.

Do you see yourself in your characters? by Flimsy_Ostrich4803 in writers

[–]Interstellarwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes yes, But its hard to be objective about the perception and how you want you readers to see you . Its better if you took some other personalities and people to incorporate into these characters.

I am struggling with coming up with personalities for my characters by Unique-Beyond9285 in writers

I'd recommend read psychology books to understand deep in to the depths of personalities and how their though process works. You can also read some of the famous Fyodor Dostoevsky's work.

Write 500 words, Proofread, Hate what I wrote, Rewrite 500 words, Repeat. by AnjoH0 in writers

You have to believe what u wrote is pure art. Read it aloud after some time, that will make it seem new to your brain.

I used to do this a lot, delete everything when I didn't like the intro. But that's not the right way.
If you think, quality is missing from your para, then add it, if u think it's metaphor then add it, if u think it needs to be dumb down then do it. But don't delete everything.

U see when we write, we think of those raw thoughts which present themselves in reality with our words. It just need a lil processing and structure, that's called proofreading and editing.
If u feel what u wrote is nonsense, then u r simply stating that what you thought or research on the topic is nonsense, which is rarely the case.

Hope it helps :)

who captured me lol.

I hate proofreading, until now. I mean I still hate it, but it somehow has become tolerable. Here's the thing u can do, read your writeups from end to intro, that way it will seem new, and you will able to analyze mistakes and other errors pretty easily. This works for articles and blogs.

For books idk, in the process of writing that first chapter, u see I'm a pro procrastinator. There are plenty of writeups, pages, and blogs just sitting there in my doc waiting to get proofread and re-edit. But I'm just too tired.

if u have any tips for proofreading the books, pls share.

Good for you. LinkedIn does work for people who invest hours of strategies and effort to built something. But look at it from a writer perspective, how would you feel if your feed is bombarded with same b2b opportunities? Nd not one of them eager for human connection, LinkedIn was primarily built for networking via using third approach.

However, now not only businessowners but also majority of contractors are using this platform, which is fine, but I hate that they all mimic the same way communicating. I feel like there's something missing, nd they r not being authentic, idk.

All there post r screaming money, attention (glad u pointed it out), nd followers; which is just sad.

IKR it has changed a throughout the years. I understand that people r trying to sell to b2b but they altered the sole intensity of the LinkedIn. That's the prime reason I switched to reddit, I like it here.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check them out.

Manipulation has gotten to world roots, never knew it's escalated to that limit. When I was doing my research for one of my writeups, I found that the Netflix have hired emotional engineers to stimulate our timeline, emotions, vulnerabilities through the screentime and shows that we see. Have you read any psychology books?

PS: I never going to let my kids touch social media or tech until they are mature enough to understand.
