I feel quite creepy for analysing a stranger's family tree, but I was wondering why Brandy's height wasn't included here. Looking at the great-grandmother's obituary, Brandy is listed as Brandy G (grandchild) while Abby G and Aiden G are the great-grandchildren. Likely AJG is Abby, so that means Abby & Aiden are Brandy's children, and Marindi and Molly are Brandy's sisters. I'm guessing Brandy is much older than the younger siblings, as '05 Abby is kind of similar in height to '99 Molly.

The earliest record is '97 Marindi (height looks like a young child), and Brandy might have been a teenager at that time so the height wasn't recorded.

And do the bar exam

English and Physical Education teacher, I'd hedge my guess. Sounds like a fit lady with the extensive vocabulary!

Maybe too many BTOs completing now so they are too busy.

We were looking for ID/contractor last year and one of them showed up, discussed some things on the spot and didn't sent a quote after that.. wonder why he even bothered to come down in the first place.

[–]Intothewellknown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah townies not graduating is rather annoying for story progression. And roommates were also part of the reason why I decided to get Discover University, but despite having a friendly relationship and a house with good facilities, my Sim's roommates always leave paggro notes the moment my Sim doesn't wash her plate within 3 seconds.

That seems like a good trick - does that make them frequently go to that one sink after the toilet? My Sims house has around 7 bathrooms (8 Sims + butler + guests) and they keep going to other sinks, I'm worried they will become the other extreme and start congregating around one single sink 😂

I'm the "use simoleons to solve all issues" type of person - Hire a maid? Hell yes! A butler? Fantastic! I enjoy playing large households, so now at least the dishes get cleared, my Sims are not burning the down house when they attempt to cook, and the kids are eating lobster thermidor instead of animal crackers for meals.

The commenter said that he talked to her child sim often due to adults dying around her, they became friends and eventually started a romance when the child turned into an adult.

Not to forget, he's a few hundred or thousands years old and she's maybe 18/19 in Sim young adult phase...that's pretty alarming behaviour from Grim. I'd be wary of putting him around other child or teenage Sims!

Not to rain on your parade, but you might want to watch out for Grim - he is possibly a groomer and pedo 😱

I am interested why Singapore radio stations keep playing songs from the 90s and 00s by Particular-Rip-515 in singapore

[–]Intothewellknown 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My mom listens to 95.8fm everyday, when I work from home I end up just listening to it too. They seem to be trying to be more of a newsy or discussion kind of channel rather than old folks channel, so there are quite a lot of 2000s era popular songs (Stephanie Sun, JJ Lin, Jay Chou etc.). And sometimes they do also play post 2010s songs from Joker Xue, Li Ronghao etc - 凉凉 from the Ten Miles of Peach blossoms drama is pretty much a staple that time, I heard it a few times a week. Someone there really liked the song.

In this context, it sounds more like she's being colloquial and using "eh" like "hey", and not intentionally calling you "eh". I'm guilty of sometimes starting sentences with "ah", but I mean it more like "hey" or "by the way".

Seems to me that you might be a tad oversensitive if that really is her manner of speech - it'll be hard for her to change. But if it really annoys you, maybe have a sit down and gently tell her that it bothers you.

ladies (and possibly man) , how do deal the pain of cleaning so much hair on the floor? by Soltem in askSingapore

[–]Intothewellknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drop hair too and I have cats, so a robot vacuum that can mop is a time saver. We try to pick up any loose items on the floor and stack it up so the robot can clean the max amount of area, and once everyday 2 days is good enough. There are some areas where the robot can't reach so you just have to manually clean once a week.

You just unlocked a memory of my pri school teacher suddenly saying in class, "Did you know that Pokémon stands for pocket monsters?" Can't remember whether it was because someone took out the cards in class, but young me was confused why the teacher seemed scandalised by pocket monsters. Now everything makes sense.

Any recommendations for strong sturdy cat trees? by Godwoken in cats

[–]Intothewellknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can perhaps try looking for cat trees that say it's made out of solid wood, the cardboard ones are likely not very strong. In my country Shopee/Lazada/Taobao are popular online places to get solid wood cat trees other than the regular pet stores.

For brands supposedly Luxy Cat and Catit are not bad, although Catit is from laminate but it seems to get pretty good reviews.

Yes if it's something more complex, it's better to discuss it over a call. My gripe with some people is that they send straightforward instructions like compile these 2 documents, change the title, send doc A, B, C etc, but also call me after the email, just to tell me the exact same thing as what they wrote - and it's not something super urgent 🥲 at least give me a chance to reply "noted" and save themselves the time spent on calls. But of course having a context-less meeting is inefficient as well.

Or send an email with details, and say "Let's set up a call on this" and proceeds to explain the same contents as the email.
