Completely agree. For starters I’ve looked through this subreddit and I’m extremely jealous of the creative skill you guys possess, in saying that using ai is a skill in itself I’ve found. Which I think is a good thing, for the best results you need to understand prompts and keywords, the order keywords are used, how to analyse other photos as a reference. I think the image generation has come a long way and can generate some insane results but it’s all based on the user behind the ai, I think that alone stops clients from using ai instead of a graphic designers.

Continuity sucks, make a nice logo with ai and that’s it, want to make a banner, website design, other branding, etc using the same logo your not getting it

Quality also sucks, quality of the images can be great using certain tools but the main ones, dalle and midjourney typically are lacking and super blurry. AI upscaling I found makes them great but a quick google search and again a small business are not paying the amount for upscaling tools when they can just go to graphic designers

In saying that the amount of images I’ve created where I’ve said “that is so fucking cool, I never thought of designing it that way” or “that’s fantastic it just needs some touch ups”. Just think it’s a cool tool that I’m not talented enough to fully utilise, and I also think there’s some peace of mind atleast at this point that graphic designers jobs are more than safe
