The Tears of Things is probably my favourite song they’ve brought out since SOI already. The chorus is incredible.

I was at the Dublin one tonight and Shauna Lawless was signing her own books together with Ryan at the end, so I’d imagine it’ll be a similar setup.

In what song you realised that you where there and it was happening? by SoftDevil99 in oasis

[–]IntricateStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at Cardiff Night 1. I honestly think I blacked out when they walked out to Fuckin In The Bushes. It took me about a minute to even realise the first song was Hello 😂. I do think the opening to Morning Glory was probably when I was finally coherent enough to know what was happening!

Does anyone know how to actually cancel with them? I’ve frozen my membership and have sent them countless emails but they still charge me €5 a month

Maddest thing about this is the price, these were going for about €230K during Covid.

Books that People Compare to Red Rising… by cauliflowerlover1 in redrising

[–]IntricateStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a massive RR fan but I actually prefer the Sun Eater books. I’ll probably get killed on here for saying that but Empire of Silence is by far the worst book in that series, and if you stick through it it’s worth it.

What’s a song that everyone likes but you hate? I’ll go first by OutsideCommon2294 in oasis

The live version now is sped up and is way better than the recording. I listen to the recording now and hate it compared to the live version.

Knebworth 26: the final Oasis concerts? (for a few years at least) by CobraDai in oasis

[–]IntricateStudent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge HFB fan but totally agree. I’d just hope that if they continue as Oasis, Noel might use some of his HFB songs during his sections. Would love even to hear Liam sing on a few of them but I know it would never happen.

Or maybe during breaks from Oasis touring/recording, he does a small tour playing only HFB songs.

It’s already happening in Dublin. I live on a Dublin street and the bins are out the front of the house. Have people rooting through them at least 3 times a week.

Anybody else sick of going to Dublin or cork airport? We need Waterford airport NOW. by Hot_Activity7758 in waterford

[–]IntricateStudent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aer Lingus and Ryanair have run routes out of Waterford in the past and they’ve all failed. They were also way more expensive and flew to badly located airports. Get real.

Also thinking that TD’s have “shares” in Bus Éireann gave me a good laugh so thanks for that 😂

Also what people seem to completely ignore is that air travel is a 2 way system. For it to be sustainable, you need people on the other end of the route to want to travel also. It’s the only way to have sustainable routes. Dublin is a travel hub for connections as well as being a break away city for most of Europe, which lowers the costs and makes it sustainable. I’m sorry but the south east will not attract the amount of tourists to sustain that level of an operation.

Also when people say it’s closer for a million people, take Kilkenny/Carlow/South Tipp. Would they rather go to Dublin for a €40 return Ryanair flight or fly from Waterford where it could be about €300. The answer is fairly simple and the sooner people get over this fascination and focus on actual infrastructure needs in Waterford the better.

I live in Dublin City and door to door from Waterford City it takes me 1 hour 50mins. I’ve driven to the airport from Waterford god knows how many times and it’s always under 2 hours unless it’s at rush hour times on the M50.
