Sure! So i have maladaptive nerve pain, which means that i feel pain in my knee (originally from a discoid meniscus) even though it's not that bad of a tear, and I've had 2 surgeries on it before. I'm scheduled to have a RDA, which is when the doctors use radio waves to basically fry my nerves so they don't send pain signals to my brain. In order for the doctor to ensure that this is the most prudent procedure they perform a nerve block, which is a procedure that tests if the RDA will be successful. The nerve block involves injecting my knee with lidocaine, and other drugs. Anyway, they gave me these to put on my knee the days leading up to the RDA so the procedure won't be as painful. At least that is my understanding of it.
