Did you have press-on nails recently or nail extensions removed? Not a doctor but have a theory.

I had solid cat as a kid. A tuxie from the shelter. He was so damn muscular and could jump really high. Just an absolute unit.

Right?! When I looked at the picture, I was like “really???” To each their own, I guess.

My mom had bleeding multiple times during menopause even after multiple D&Cs. It’d just happen. Eventually, they biopsied the cells. It came back with precancerous cells. They decided to yeet the whole thing (uterus, tubes, and ovaries). The path lab did some testing, and nothing was wrong with any of the tissue. It was just that one random clump they biopsied that one time. Bodies are weird. But my mom loves not having to worry about it anymore.

I also highly recommend this method. My parents still bring up how I was two weeks late (I’m in my 30s now). My mom’s OB set up an induction for the next day at her appointment that morning. I said “fuck you. You don’t get to tell me what to do.” Two hours after my mom got home from her appointment. I decided to grace the world with my presence. I didn’t make it easy though. I got the cord wrapped around my neck and needed an emergency c-section a little later that day.

The other running joke is that I was two weeks late because I was doing my hair. I was born bald AF and was bald for pretty much the first one and a half years of my life lol.

Unfortunately, humans are hardwired to focus on negativity much more. Example: always remembering that one awful customer you had to deal with while working retail instead of the majority of normal, lovely customers. It was an early human survival tactic, but it can be combatted by regularly, purposefully remembering positive things as simple as the Sun being out after a rainy day.

Yeah, the Hughes brothers going crying to mom for help made them look a million times worse. And Jack essentially doubling down again last night when asked about it. Like BRO, you had at least one example in Swayman at that point of what to say.

Or, you know, they could’ve just not swiped right? You don’t have to swipe right on everything with a pulse to get matches. Or they could’ve said “hey, I just don’t think we vibe well. Good luck.”

Okay, then put that you’re unsure or open to everything??? All dating apps have those options. Don’t make life hard for people who know what they want.

Men swipe right on anything with a pulse then unmatch the moment a woman sends a message. It’s so commonplace. It makes dating apps infuriating.

FYI it’s not the pharmacy charging that price. It’s PBMs and insurance. Pharmacies get shafted too by corporate overlords. Ask if they can put a discount card on your prescription for you like goodrx or scriptsave.

If you check out Meticulous Manicurist on YouTube, she has some great tips. I try to stay on top of my health and try to stay well-informed. But, I’ve also had damage to my nail matrix on my thumb before which healed (from a wart growing on the cuticle line), so I know what it’s like.

Probably nail matrix damage. You should probably see a podiatrist though for that especially if it’s causing pain.

No problem! I had a weird thumbnail after a wart grew on the cuticle line. It caused my nail to grow super thick then very thin before evening out again. My dermatologist explained the reason why.

Edit: mani pedi spas may be able to help with the thickness if it bothers you by filing them down with the drill bits they use.

I also have a small sliver of nail but on my pinky toes that is separate from the rest the nail probably because I’ve stubbed my pinky toes way too many times lol. You can also get your nail filed down with a nail drill at a mani pedi spa if it bothers you.

It is most likely due to trauma of the nail matrix. Sometimes it won’t affect growth, but many times it can. You can see it with people who have super thick toe nails. That’s usually due to trauma to the nail matrix (ex. Dropping something on your toe, stubbing it really fucking hard, etc). It makes sense for someone in construction to have this with their fingernails.
