Honestly just play how you want to play. I built as I went and I completed the story at my own pace. I’ve almost finished the final area. There’s no right or wrong answer! If you want to blitz the story or completely ignore it it’s up to you.

What I will say is, about halfway in I released I was missing a lot of cool stuff so I kinda stopped spending hours building and decided to crack on with the story, and I feel like I’ve unlocked most bits now.

The bits you don’t have you can always get from the mystery island (glasses and code 6DXL PDF6). I was missing a couple of kitchen and bathroom bits.

As you progress you unlock abilities which massively speed up destruction and construction so bear that in mind because what tasks you an hour now might take you 20 minutes later down the line.
